Hi everyone, have been looking at all the photos of everyones wedding, they are fantastic. Looks so magical , can't wait until my turn. Could anyone tell me if guests can take photos at wedding, have been told Disney don't allow photos to be taken during ceremony but can you take your own photos when at wedding pavilion. One of our guest is a professional photographer and has offered to take some photos, this would save us a lot of money. Everyone's help would be appreciated. thanks

My wedding was very quick, the sun was pouring into our eyes in the Gazebo so I couldn't see too well either, but I'm pretty sure towards the end of the ceremony there were several cameras clicking and hitting our eyes. I was pretty sure I saw the guests holding their cameras as well. I know two of our guests were filming as well. Maybe it depends upon the photographer, but ours did not appear to have a problem with that rule you heard.

all the pictures that I have posted were taken by a friend of mine, so yes, you can take pictures. she took pictures the entire day. I never asked if this was ok, I just assumed. I think it would be ridiculous if family could not take pictures of you on your wedding day. I did have an alternate photographer though, so I guess it could be different with that.

On the itenerary that disney sent me for the wedding day it says that family and friends are welcome to bring cameras and video recorder is they so choose.

Our friend did our video, and many of our family members brought their own cameras. There was no problem with that. The only thing I think is against Disney rules is for you to (in wedding attire) go around to hotels and parks to take photos. I'm not sure they would even let you through the gate of a park unless you had very casual (couldn't tell it was a wedding) attire.

You can go round as many resorts as you like in your wedding dress and have anyone take photos - I have checked before on this with DFTW and and Disney have no problem with this at all. There only stance is that you cannot go into a park in your wedding attire without a Disney photographer and usually these are the early morning shoots at MK in front of the castle or around World Showcase at EPCOT. Friends and Family of course can take you round resorts in your dress and take photos and absolutely at your actual wedding. Yup it's just the parks and even then I have seen non-professional photographers go into a park with a couple to do their own engagement or honeymoon shoot with the bride and groom in total casual/park attire.

I second Sam's reply.

We got married at the WP and had our cocktails and Desert Party both at Italy Isola, and our reception at The American Adventure Rotunda. I have tons of photos and video from all of our 140 guests!

And yes, you can got to the resorts to take photos. We went to Fort Wilderness, the Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge, and of course the GF. We did the MK photo shoot with our wedding attire early in the morning and that is the only way to take photos in the park with your dress/tux on, a scheduled shoot through Disney FTW.

that guests can take pictures! I mean really, how can you prevent it? Regarding taking pictures at Disney venues, when you are making arrangments with the photographer (I really want to use Randy Chapman), can you pick out where you want to take pics or is it 100% up to the photographer?

Have managed to get in touch with disney who have advised that it is okay for guests to take photos. One guests who is using professional cameras has to sign a waiver form. There is no charge for this. Thanks again to all who replied.
