We've done the photopass a couple of times but this year when we got the CD back there were loads of additional Character shots. The photos were out of this world and of shots we would never manage to get ourselves - the Mickey and Minnie ones are amazing

There were even ones of all the Winnie the pooh characters dressed in Halloween costumes and all posing together - you would struggle to get that in the park!

When people see the photos they make such a ooh ahh about them I have to confess we didn't take them!

There were also lots of brilliant firework photos and the castle lit up etc.

Not sure if they do this every year or whether we hadn't had that many photos taken so they bumped it up a bit. I think with added boarders and their photos we ended up with about 130??

We have had several lots of extra character photos added - seems to get added when you have particular pictures taken eg at character trails in AK, Pooh in UK etc. Got 55 extra lovely pics. Can't wait for CD to come

Photopass is great. we pre ordered the $99 offer.

Whne you are there make sure you tell the photographers that you hav epre ordered as they tend to take loads of different shots for you. We told one photographer at the Epcot entrance and she took about 50 photos. She took individuals, couple, kids and whole family. It was mid afternoon and was quite quiet as most people were already in the park. It was like our own photoshoot and her pictures were great, she had the kids in soooo many different poses.

Also make sure you ask every photographer if they have any "magic" shots.

We've done the photopass twice and will do again this year.

It becomes second nature to stop for a photo.

If you do bibbidi bobbidi boutique they have photopass photographers in there. They will also do 'posed' pics in the studio and add those to your photopass card.

There were also photopass photographers in the resorts next to the xmas trees - alot of americans seemed to be getting their xmas card pictures done.

We've also added the crt and akershus photos to the card. i think if you buy the photos at chef mickeys etc they can also be added - I don't buy these - they will take a pic with your camera if you ask.

Only place we didn't see photopass was the waterparks - think they are there peak season only (we went in october)

I just do the $99 deal. We made DD a photobook with autographs and some of the photopass photos which turned out really well.

Do ask about magic shots - stitchkingdom has a list of suggestions. If you find a guiet photographer they are more likely to play around.

We did the $149 offer last year -- a small price to pay to ensure that I actually created the photobook! (I have YEARS worth of digital photos stored....yet few photos actually printed out...) So pleased that I did it: LOVED the results and it's probably my son's favorite "bedtime story".

I did find the software used to create the book to be way more difficult to use than it should be (other sites are much easier), but it's worth it to have a completely Disney-fied book!

I've done the pre-visit offer the last 2 years -- with the photopass CD and the photobook. But you have to know how to work it! Below is a link to a nice guide, and a link to a photobook I just created!

Here's my tips.

• Make sure everyone has a photopass card. You can have multiple cards of pictures on the same photopass CD for 1 price.
• Write down the photopass card numbers, email them to yourself, take a picture of the card, etc... in case the card is lost. You need the number to register it on the photopass web site.
• Get lots of photopass photos. Know where the photographers are located... the park maps show the location and usually they are with characters.
• Take pictures with your own camera too. The photopass photographers will do that for you. Good backup.
• Get photopass photos taken when the crowd is low... early morning, late at night, etc... especially of the castle. This will result in less people or no other people in the background. My favorite spot for the castle is on the bridge from Tomorrowland.
• Ask for magic shots -- not too many in this book but you can get magic images in your photos... we have pictures of DS holding a frog, tinkerbelle, simba, sitting with stitch, holding balloons, ghost in the carriage, etc...
• Rides - yes you can add the ride photos (if you buy them) to your photopass. You will get a special photopass card that starts with RIDE.
• Character meals... if you buy the photo (or included with Cinderella's Royal Table), it's added... just ask. either they will add it or there will be a photopass number on the picture (corner) that you enter on the photopass site.
• If doing the photobook, take pictures of other things you might want images of... restaurant signs, park entrance signs, icons, etc.. I took pictures of the ride posters and put them in my book.

When you get home...
For the photopass photos... you can add backgrounds although not a lot to choose from. For the photobook, the possibilities are endless. You can experiment by going on the photopass site now and use their stock photos to create photobook pages...just to try it out. I have spent HOURS creating my last 2 photobooks... it takes forever... but could take less time if you stick to the included 20 pages and use some of the preset layouts. If you need more time...call photopass on the phone and ask for an extension of time. They often give extensions free for the asking... but if you do it online, you pay... and it used to only extend the expiration date of the photopass photos... not photos you uploaded. If you call, all your photos are extended so you have more time to work on that photobook.

I've done a pre purchase a year ahead and had no problems. As far as I understand once the credit is in your account it doesn't expire
