Has anyone purchased a Disney photo plate where you give them your picture and they make a plate with Disney characters for you?

I'm trying to find a reliable online place to do this. I saw these advertised on huge posters at Walmart, but the staff doesn't know how to do it. Gotta love a store that advertises something they can't do.

Our local CVS here in NY has the disney plates. They have Mickey and the princesses. They may have others I'm not sure and I'm not sure of the price. Check it out if you have a CVS drugstore.

CVS doesn't sound familiar, is that an abreviation or the whole store name?

I called another Walmart and they seemed intelligent, well, at least they knew what I was talking about.

There seems to be much better selection online (Nemo, several princesses, Cars, etc.), I just hate to do business online with a company I don't know anything about.

Our Hobby Lobby store has those plates where you can add a pic to the plate and send it off to the company. I haven't paid too much attention to them but I will have to go look at the ones I have and see what the company name is.

Enjoyed the story and pics. I was also at WDW while you were there --- we went 9/25/06 to 10/03/06 and stood at POP CENTURY (me, husband, son and daughter-in-law and 2 grandkids) Small world isn't it.
Glad you enjoyed your trip - looked like you had lots of fun. We had a good time also. Looking forward to going back this year.

I found a Walmart about 20 minutes away that was able to make the plates. The selection wasn't wonderful, but they had one style each of Pirates of the Caribean, Princess, Mickey, Cars, Winnie the Pooh, Nemo, and I think 2 others.

It takes 2 weeks so how I'm not sure how they turn out yet.

I did check out Walgreens, but they are more than twice as much, and I got three. But thanks for letting me know they did them.

About how much do these run and does anyone have one they can photo and share? :) I tried looking at the sites online but couldn't find any info.

Yes, those are the plates. That site has a much better selection than Walmart. I couldn't find them at Walmart online, just at the store itself.

They are $13.92 each at Walmart. They have 7 designs (I have the order form here), one each of Cars, Princess, Pirates of the Caribbean, Incredibles, Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, and Nemo.

I am considering getting one for my sister for her birthday, but I don't know if it would be lame to get one for her after I give one to my mom for mothers day. Obviously my entire family never grew up - acting your age is over rated.

We are supposed to act our age? When did that start? I bought a mouse pad for each of my sisters. Not sure if I can wait until mothers day!! I think if your sister would use the plate or not use it but still like it then why not?

I picked up my plates at Walmart today, they turned out all right except one. They cut off someone's head so I sent that one back for them to fix.

I would like to know how they do these online. I wish I could have placed the picture in the plate myself, they didn't center or enlarge it the way I would have. They look pretty good, but if I were doing it myself I would have done it differently - does that make sense?

I bought a Create-a-plate kit from my nephews school fundraiser, and the kit came with the web site and you could upload a pic from your computer and create the plate on line. I used a pic of my son and me and pluto and it came out real cute. You also crop the pic into the circle shape yourself so you see the finished product before you order it. The website is www.genevieves.com
I think it cost about 18$.

This would probaly turn out better because then you can crop/pan/enlarge the picture however you want instead of cutting off the side of someone's face, (that's the plate I sent back).
