disney photo pass...

When the Disney photographers take your picture (like on mainstreet with the castle in the backround) they give you a plastic card. With this card you can either look at and purchase your pictures at the park if you go to the photo center, or you can look at them and purchase what you want on the photopass website once you return home.

You keep this card through your trip and hand it to the next photographer, that way all of your pictures will be listed under the same card's number.

We purchased some pictures this way in March. Some posters have commented that their photopass pictures weren't worth purchasing. So, if it is a photo that you really want, you may want to take your own as a backup.

I hope I've explained it clearly.

I just got my PhotoPass photos in todays mail. We got home on June 26, I went on-line to check out my photos. For the most part I was pleased. Most issues I had were of my own making. I just don't photograph well at all. So, I cropped and added titles to the shots I wanted. Ordered them on Wednesday and got them today, Tuesday. I really like the shots I got. A really nice one from an EMH in MK at about 12:45 or so, with the Castle lit up behind us. Terrific. We did have the photographers helper take a shot with my digital camera for some shots. I did order some of those rather than the photopass ones since they were cheaper.

Be sure to keep your card for the whole trip. And don't put it near any electronics. I was told to treat it the same way I treat my park passes.

My SIL and her family just returned from their trip and had a less than wonderful experience with Photopass. Their pictures were missing when they went to view them before leaving the park. The CM was very nice though and retook their photo and didn't charge them for the pictures they did get because they were ready to leave the park and had to wait around for the new pictures. Definitely make sure you take your own pictures too.

I just saw her pictures last night and it turned out nice, but being they were a large group (seven of them) and it was taken at the front of Mainstreet, you really couldn't see the Castle or even really make out that they were even at Disney. Kinda dissappointing because I have even more in my family and we always used to get the photo done with the green screen and then they added the castle and year or Mickey etc....but I guess they stopped doing that now that they have photopass. Wish they could of just kept both.

Oh man, I didn't realize you could do all that! Darn....

I did the photopass and although we didn't get many (we should have stopped more often to get more pictures taken during our last trip! Hindsight 20/20) they all looked good. We only ordered one (that was free with the certificate we got with our package) and it arrived the NEXT DAY (seriously! Amazing I know..) after ordering it and it was great quality. Same as we have received in buying pictures while there!
