I read around somewhere about the new disney photo passes where al your photos are stored on a card and you can then view and buy them in the park or online when you get home. They didn't have this last time I went and I think it's a great idea.

I just saw on ebay someone selling for £5.99, something to 'unlock' your photopass. Does anyone know what they mean? I thought anyone could take their photopass home and view it online? And if they mean printing them off that's not really a secret you would pay for it is? Maybe that's the scam. Just wondered if maybe I missundestood about photopass. Can anyone explain? And buy the way, no I'm not getting suckered for £5.99, don't worry!

this was discussed on the budget board... or somewhere.... the consensus was that they will tell you how you can get the photos from photo pass with out paying to download to your computer... :confused3 the guess is... of course bypassing Disney, and their copyrighted photopass has to be illegal, so the consensus was to report the ebayer... :confused3

Never know...

The photopass pictures are not on your card but rather are stored on WDW's computers. The card (photopass itself) just has your ID for the computers to find your pictures with.

If I read correctly, you can see small previews of all your pictures free of charge, then by paying the fee you can have snapshot size or larger pictures ordered or downloaded.

I have no idea what the "item" is that was being sold on eBay, it could just be a set of directions for seeing the small previews of your pictures. In other words you might be buying information that you could easily obtain for free legally by asking elsewhere.

this definitely sounds like a scam to me!

i have used the photopass through disney. when you go to www.disneyphotopass.com it has an area where you can create a log in for your card. you can purchase the photos and packages just the same as though you were buying them in the park.

the only thing is that you can't just right click on the image and save the picture to your computer, because of the copyright protection. there are ways around that, so, as the other poster said, maybe that is what they are trying to sell.

i wouldn't pay the ebay seller a dime though. it is a big time scam!
