So now that we have been home for awhile and I am looking at our pictures from our Easter Trip, I am thinking about just buying the CD (we were there with another family this time).

I've looked at all the fine print and what I can make out is:

1) All my photos will be burned to CD (in a 4x6 format, unless I save them in another like 5x7 or 8x10)

2) I will be able to print them out on my home printer or take the disk to a Walmart or place that can read the CD and print out prints there.

My question is:

Can I download the pictures I want from the CD to my computer, then upload them to Shutterfly and have Shutterfly print them?? :confused3

I've searched threads about the Photopass CD and it doesn't look like anyone has asked that question before.

Oh and here's an FYI....I used the same photopass card for this trip and my trip in July of 2010....when I logged on to see my pics from this Easter, my pictures from July 2010 were still there. So it looks like ALL the pictures will be on the CD when I order it. Anyone else have pictures from a previous trip still on their account?

:thanks:

You don't need to download them to your pc from the CD. I believe you can select from the CD for the upload to Shutterfly or other sites that print pictures. But, if you want them on your pc then yes you can download them to your pc from the CD. They're just pdf files so you can easily copy them using whatever method you normally use to copy pictures.

I'm shocked that your pictures from 2010 are still in your account. They typically expire 30 days from when the card was added to your account. It must be some kind of computer glitch. Then again, I've never reused a card. The way it's supposed to work is that the photos expire from their database 30 days after they're taken unless the card is entered into your account which then restarts the 30 day window. In reality, people have been able to get the pictures loaded beyond the 30 days so obviously they keep them longer but I wouldn't have expected them to still be on their server for 10 months.

I was also shocked to see the pictures from 2010. It's weird, I took the kids to EPCOT during President's Week in 2011 and I also used this same card...those pictures were gone, but 2010 were there? Weird.

We only went to Magic Kingdom in 2010 and this year we only went to DHS and EPCOT again (we were with another family, so I had Adults to :drinking1 drink my way around the world and my 2 younger kids couldn't moan and groan about it. ;))

Thanks for your reply, I figured as much that you could, but I just wanted verification that someone else had done it.

I just thought I would provide a second confirmation. I used the photos from my CD to create a photobook on shutterfly. It didn't work any differently than using pictures I took myself.

Fantastic!!! Thank you so much for the replies. I will be ordering the CD as soon as I have added all the borders and extras I want on my pictures.

Thanks again!! Love the DIS!:disrocks:

:thumbsup2You will get a paper with it saying they release all copyrights. You can print or do whatever you want with them, make gifts, ect... anywhere. Most places won't ask for the copyright release, but you have it if you need it.

I have also reloaded Photopass pics to the Photopass site from my CD's after they have expired in my account. I have ordered mugs, cards, and calendars that way.

I have also used the Photopass pics in Shutterfly with no problems.

As for your old pics, I am guessing it's a glitch. I always reuse our photopass cards because I have a few of the little ones from the waterparks and I have them attached to my park bag. I have had pictures stay in the account over the 30 day mark, but I've never had pictures stay in the account that long.
