I went to order my maps only to find after I completed all the steps that I could not get them because I live in Canada! I'm so disappointed :( :( :(
I was really looking forward to these maps as a nice keepsake!

You can still print them out. Not as nice but better than nothing. Or you can try and find someone in the States who will take delivery for you.

disney doesn't seem to like shipping outside of the states which is really silly - they obviously draw guests in from all over the world.

Do you have any friends or relatives that you can send them to, and then they can send them to you?

We live in Mexico, and have all of our stuff sent to my Dad's house in Kentucky, who in turn can send us anything we need.

It gets sooo annoying! The maps, the planning dvds, everything! Shipping on disneyshopping.com is over $30 for one item just because I live in Canada

Dumb question what are the personalized maps is this something NEW!

I think the reason come down to that the DVD's and maps are considered giveaways, and perhaps fall under the sweeptakes category. Which to my understanding aren't allowed in Canada.

its a feature on the disney.com website.. you can order them and you can personalize the map as to what attractions you do/don't want shown on it

Come on...you've got hockey and more hockey, and your national anthem is a MUCH better song. $30 for shipping seems minor... ;)

It's not just Canada, I cant get them or the DVD either, unless I use my mailbox addy in the US. It's silly because if they would offer it I would gladly pay the shipping fee!

We can not get anything from Disney shipped. I have tried to get the Planning DVD sent to us as we are comming back in October 2007 but we can not. It makes it a little hard and when we have to make reservation for meals for our trip I have to sit up to about 1am in the morning to get at opening on the first day so that we get what we want. But I suppose it it is all worth it in the end.

As a resident of Barbados I can sympathize! There's a lot I can't do - no music downloading, no Paypal, and of course if I can find somewhere that will actually ship to me it costs the earth! I can usually find a US address to get things sent to, but many places won't accept the Barbados billing address on my credit card either!

Re ADRs - because we are not using a travel agent and not staying onsite (we'll be offsite at my parents' timeshare, and we're using airmiles), we'd have to call Disney Dining ourselves and incur awful long distance charges (the 800 number doesn't work here). I found a company that will do it for me for US$25 - that includes all ADRs and any subsequent changes to them, reconfirmations etc. The fee was worth it b/c we had several ADRs to make, lots of allergy info to tell DD about, and we planned to call back again to reconfirm - we would have spent more money than US$25 in the end. They put all the ADRs into a neat little Word document schedule with all the confirmation numbers. We have unusual allergies in one of our dining party, and the reservation company managed to pass on that info to Disney correctly (I know this because Disney then called me and e-mailed me to give me more allergy info). They got all the ADRs I wanted, at the times I wanted (give or take 15 mins only) - even CRT breakfast! The guy I've been dealing with, Stephen, is a DIS member too. PM me if you're interested, and I'll give you the name.
