I have a good friend who thinks Disney is a low-class vacation spot! I obviously disagree strongly.
She comes from a family of rather patrician background. It's not about money with them- They have some wealthy members of the family, but some are middle- class income level or even below that! They just have that "old-money-private-school-summer-in-the-Hamptons" sort of vibe. My friend and I met in college when we pledged the same Sorority.
My family, on the other hand, is of the "hard-working-average-Joe-trying-to-live-the-American-dream" type. We also have family members with lots of money, and some with not so much. We are third-generation immigrants, each generation gaining more than the last. But overall, we are the middle-class type, through and through.
My question is- Do you consider a Disney vacation to be rather tacky or middle-class or pedestrian? I absolutely do not, but I'd love to hear from other DISers out there.
