I am wanting to make up a surprise box for my son and I was wanting to find some things like you would find in the parks. Disney pens, autograph books and the little light toys that go around. I have looked everywhere and I cant find them. Can someone help me or will I have to wait till I get there? I hope not I was really looking forward to doing this.

I have seen Whinnie The Pooh pens and pencils at WalMart, and Disney Store has light chasers.

As far as an autograph book, I dont know where you can find one like they sell in the parks, but I made one for my ds. I bought a small spiral bound scrapbook and some Disney stickers in the scrapbook section at Michaels.

I covered the cover with the stickers, used some Mickey font letter stickers to do a 'this book belongs to' page and he us ready to go.

The cool thing about this book is I will be able to add his pictures to it when we get back. Just make sure when you hand it to a character you open it to a page that doesnt have writing on the other side. This way you can put a picture on the page facing the autograph.

Great idea, that sounds like exactly whta I want to do. I definately want to be able to add pictures later. Also, it's my son's birthday and I plan to decorate the room and put together a disney themed basket to be left for him by Mickey.

That is a great idea. I think I will try that, sounds like it would be more creative and cheaper too. Thanks. I will check out Disney Store for the light chasers.

Check out www.GiftsofaLifetime.com for a WDW shopping service. They will shop, purchase and send to you your selected items including fat pens, antenna toppers, autograph books, Epcot Passports, pressed penny books, etc.

I used them last year to get some items to make gift baskets for my kids. We received everything within a couple of weeks. They will also deliver to local Orlando hotels.

Have fun.

According to the staff at the Disney Store, you can only buy the autograph books the theme parks.

I also made my own to take for out trip a few years ago. I baught an inexpensive Disney photo book (4X6) and printed each Disney character I thought we could run into on a 4X6 index card. Then when we ran into a character I pulled out the index card and had them sign next to their picture. The "characters" loved them.

When we got home I put the actual picture of my kids with the characters on the back of the signed index card.

This worked great and we could take out the cards each day that were alread signed that we we knew which ones we needed to get, instead of stading inline for a signiture we already had.

Hope this helps.

Thank you these were some REALLY great ideas. I have managed to round up everything I wanted. Thanks, I know of one little boy who is gonna be very very happy.

I made my own autograph books with Disney stickers. I left a page for the signature and the opposing page to put in a picture of my kids. It did not work all the time. I would find the page for each character and had them the book where I needed them to sign and most characters did not follow my directions and flipped the book upside down. I think the problem was I used a small spiral scrapbook so I could flip to the right page. I know it is difficult for the characters to see and they turned it to avoid the spiral.
