Disney Parks " Disney Time" Sweepstakes- Any Other Winners?

I've entered to win many a trips this past year and a half, and I keep saying eventually it will be my turn! I may have to wait 20 years, but I will win one! LOL. ;)

My youngest DD18 seems to have allot of luck winning small items on sweepstakes/contests. Like t shirts, Cds, posters so on. I never win anything. I am to the point were I figure my time has to come. :thumbsup2

I used to play Bingo many years ago never won any games. Played the Lottery when my mom was alive. She won a little. Me nothing. My cousin actually played once and only spent a dollar. He won enough to buy a house with a little left over. Some people are lucky, some not so. I am hoping I can be one of the lucky people for this. Only time will tell.

.

I feel the same way; I NEVER win anything, EVER. And I've entered a million contests and bought a million lottery tickets, so it's not like I don't try. I've never won more than $5. i'm the unluckiest person alive; however last week, I did win one of those "Guess how many jelly beans are in the jar" contests, so I'm hoping my luck has changed and my time has come. We're talking 40+ years of not having any luck (ok, 20+ if we only count adult years, lol) and having tried plenty, so I feel like I'm due *something*. :p

I am subbing in... loving this thread! Congrats to the winners! I have been entering the contest every day, crossing my fingers for a win! I received a phone call from a 407 area code (Florida!) this morning. I got so excited, dreaming of a call notifying me that I won... Aaaaand it ended up being DVC calling to follow up about the DVD they sent me. Really?! :rotfl2: Good luck everyone!

how many total winners were chosen last year (not just DIS winners)? Was it 2 months worth so 60? And we had approx. 20 DISers so 1/3 of them were on the DIS? If so, maybe we'll see the same % this year which would be 10ish or so.

I've never won a big contest, per se. The closest is when I went to see Paul McCartney in concert a few years back. My best friend and I could only afford the really cheap seats waaaaaaaaaay up in the back, but we didn't really care - we bonded in middle school over our love of the Beatles and were just so excited to get to have this concert experience together.

As we were sitting in our seats waiting for the show to start, a guy came over to us and asked how many people were in our party, and if we could come with him. We were spazzing out wondering if something was wrong with our tickets! Turns out, he worked for Paul McCartney, and during each of his concerts, Paul buys out the entire front row of seats and has his team randomly pick people to upgrade to the front row. I nearly burst into tears then and there. Never in a million years would have expected that to happen, and it was the greatest night of my life!

OMG. That is a great story!!! I think I recognize that stadium too. Is that FedEx field? We are Redskins fanatics and that looks mighty similar to our second home (well, other than WDW -- LOL). I've been to many a concert there. Kenny Chesney pretty much ever summer and although we can get pretty decent seats, never oh never, that good a seat.

Good for you and what a tale you have to tell.

I got kissed by Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), but that's story for another time

Best wishes DisPals

Yep, that's FedEx! I'm a Redskins fan also, so I know you must be feeling my pain after watching that game on Sunday. Hope RGIII's injury isn't career altering!

awesome! Can you reply and ask how many other winners they've picked so far and if they've notified them all? :lmao:

I would love to win but never win anything. That being said, I bought lottery scratchers for my sons teachers this year and two of them won $50. Of course, if I bought them for myself the winnings would be zip. Of course, I still enter the disney sweepstakes every year and dream.

To the person who kissed Stephen Tyler would love to hear the story. We met him one year at WDW. He was over at Rockin roller coaster. My son struck up a conversation by saying he liked his Mickey ears. He was really a nice guy. My son told him he liked the song that was playing and Tyler said me too. It was super cute since my son was 4 and had no clue who he was. I am not sure every famous rock star would take the time to chat with a 4 year old or be cool enough to wear Mickey ears lol so he gets a plus in my book.

I live in an apartment building and whenever we get a package delivered we get an email saying "you have a FedEx/UPS/USPS package at the front desk."

I just checked my email and it says I have a FedEx package waiting for me. I'm 99.9999% sure it's our Christmas gift from my MIL who was shipping our gift to us but still you know all day I'm going to be thinking "what if...."

I'm glad I'm not the only crazy one out there...

Congrats!

I love following this thread and realizing I'm not the only one obsessing about this contest!

I had the same problem as many on Jan 1st but I tried that night & got through just fine. I think the volume of entries may have been overwhelming because of the Disney New Years Parade when Maria announced the contest. I've had no problems entering daily since. (I did forget one day!) How does that happen? :rotfl2: Darn life gets in the way! :surfweb:
I hope I'm a winner one of these days & if not, one of YOU! :cool1:

I enter a lot of sweepstakes too. I usually spend half hour a night entering. I have won some cool things. So far I won:

Chevron Love the Road Event – CBS: Sony Digital Camera, $300 Marriot CG, $500 Chevron GC.
Travelocity-Ipod Touch
NASCAR: T-shirt, backpack, toy car
JetBlue: One ticket out of the country.

THEN one day right after Spring term started (I went back to school plus I work fulltime) I come home very exhausted but still entered all my sweepstakes. My son (17 at the time) gave so much crap for doing that. He was like why do you this relax, not like you are going to win. The very next day I got the email that I won the Car land trip! I so enjoyed calling my son! Haha ::yes::

Keep entering! People DO win!

Congrats! And yes, I entered in today.

Add me to the list of people who never win anything (except for that He-Man doll from a Hubba Bubba wrapper as a little girl) :rotfl:

I love reading the stories about all the lucky winners. Continued luck to all!
