Is there anyway to take advantage of Disney's "package deals" while staying on points? Some of the extras that are included with the Dream Maker package and silver/gold/platinum add-ons sound delightful.

At this point the only "package" members are eligible for is Grand Gatherings.

There is a rumor floating around about upcoming food packages.

By the way, we just returned from a short visit (non-DVC) with a package of 2 "wishes" per day. The good news was that we could eat like pigs. At the restaurants, the waitstaff would say things like, "With your plan, you can add on lobster tails for everyone for free!" Our bill for 2 adults and 2 children at the Coral Reef ran $250--but except for alcohol it didn't cost us a penny! Unfortunately, the bad news was also that we could eat like pigs. It actually became a burden trying to select an appetizer, entree and dessert for every member of the family twice a day. We also got too picky about not "wasting" a wish on a food court meal if we could use it for a more expensive pig-out. It was much too much food, and soon it was a drag rather than a pleasure. With all the walking that one does at WDW, we actually gained weight. We vowed to never do it again--1 wish per day, perhaps, but never 2. So I wouldn't worry too much about whether this particular package is available to DVC members. It's too much of a good thing.
