We have a Disney package booked thru a travel agent for this August. I have been paying the package off monthly and am wondering if I can check on my MDE account? how much I have paid already? Where would I look?
Yes, I pay the travel agent direct but I thought I could see payments thru my Disney account. I guess not. She always emails me back the payment will be posted in a few days, maybe she is not talking about what I can see on my Disney account.
I use a TA sometimes. I can see the reservation in MDE but cannot see details about it (like my balance) or make changes to it. My TA always forwards on to me a confirmation of my payment (from Disney) which includes the remaining balance. Try asking your TA if she could send you your payment confirmation/receipt.
Even with my reservations booked directly thru Disney, there is no way for me to look at the past payments made. I really wish I could do this! I pay off the same amount every month, and every month I have to look up the amount paid previously.
If you're wondering about the word "posted", yes, she's likely meaning it simply to say that Disney will have your payment in a few days. Not that it's posted up somewhere so you can see it.
An definition: "Definition of 'credit card posting' credit posting adds any purchases, refunds, payments or other transactions the cardholder has made. The post date is often a day or more after the transaction definition of 'post date' month, and year when credit card issuer processes adds it to cardholder's account balance."
My TA always emails me an updated Disney Confirmation with my posted payments on it that Disney sends to her! I normally get it a day or 2 after I submit a payment to her to make towards my reservation.
I don’t have that when I’m in my MDE. I see “view charges” but it says my balance is $0 (charges and payments both also show as $0). Nice to see that, but I know I only have a $0 balance remaining if I also have a fairy godmother who has paid off my vacation...I will never understand Disney technology.

Hmm I can see it in mine and it was booked through a TA. I had a three resort split in January booked through a TA and could see all of them too. Mine shows my payment and balance due, plus room charge and taxes itemized for each day. .

When I have booked directly thru Disney, as I always do, I get an email a couple of days later from the WDTC that says, a payment has been made toward your Walt Disney World resort vacation, and then it lists how much has been paid so far (individual payments and the dates they were made), then the total, and then how much is still due. I kind of thought this was standard procedure!
I booked through a TA and can see both my August reservations with their payments and balances under View Charges. Only through the app, though, not the website. And I believe View Charges may have only shown up after I did online check in.
