I keep reading on here that "Disney owned" restaurants are better than the others. Is there a list somewhere, or how do I determine this info?

Also, does Disney still email ingredient lists from CS restaurants out?

My DD (who will be 2) can't have dairy or soy. At her age, she generally would eat for free, but with her FAs, I'm trying to figure out how to best feed her! Does anyone know if it's possible just to order a side of something? Like black beans, or even just a small amount of plain grilled chicken? She's two, so she doesn't need a full kids meal, but she still needs to eat!

At DTD, I don't think any of the TS or CS restaurants are Disney owned.
At MK and DHS all of the TS and CS restaurants are Disney owned.
In Epcot the TS restaurants owned by Disney are Garden Grill, LeCellier, Rose & Crowne, Biergarten and Akershus. The CS restaurants owned by Disney are Sunshine Seasons, Electric Umbrella, the location before Canada as you first enter the WS, England, the UK and US. I'm not sure about Norway and Germany.
In AK Tusker House is Disney owned but the other TS aren't. For CS, I think that all but Yack and Yeti are Disney owned.
All resort TS except for CSR and Boardwalk are Disney owned. All resort CS except for CSR are Disney owned (I don't know the Boardwalk well enough to know if there's anything there besides the bakery which I believe is Disney owned).

The Special Diets department has gone back to emailing lists, but they only include specialty products. They don't identify which regular food items are safe from those allergens which is really frustrating.

If you eat at all you can eat restaurants, the chef will prepare safe food for her at no extra charge. You can also ask for a portion of your meal to be made safe and served in a separate dish so that you can share that portion of your meal with her. I believe that you can order just a side or just a protein with no side but that will probably vary by location.

I would strongly recommend that you get the info directly from the Special Diets department. They update the info regularly so if you get it from another source it might be out of date. You'll want to get the lists maybe 4 weeks before your trip so that you have a good chance that things will still be the same or at least close to the same.
