29 days and counting until my birthday trip. All I can think about is Disney 24/7. Reading, planning, looking at food pics, listening to Mouseworld Radio... I'm worried I'll get "burnt-out" before I go? Does anyone else feel that way? Do you stop researching at a certain point before your trip? :confused3:surfweb:

I can pretty well relate to that :(
Oh, I am getting a little obssessive about our incoming WDW...:rolleyes1
And I feel that's sooo much to do I cannot convince myself to get there and DO NOT rush all over the place in commando style and :headache:becoming over tired and frustrated ... and getting in the nerves of my fiance. I am afraid I will be disapointed b/c of so high expectations:guilty:
I am trying to learn good tips around Disboards(and there´s plenty!) but there's so much to read, lean I am afraind I won't remember a single thing once I get there I won't know what to do:scared1: and just spending valuabe time trying to reach that or this place/attraction:confused:
And this felling is not just about our WDW days... I did not outline a single plan for the WWoHP, US and IoA or Busch Gardens or the NASA/Space Coast day (this last is a must do for my fiancee but I am not in the mood)
I hope these fears won't paralyse me, once the 'real thing' began with the packing :p

I don't think you will get burnt out. We have 37 days to go and I'm like you with everything Disney right now. I think it just builds the excitement for our trip! Just relax enjoy your planning and when you get there just go with the flow and try not to stress if you don't stick to everything you have planned! Have a great trip!!

I'm trying to plan a vacation to DisneyLand. How many days would you recommend to be able to visit all of the parks? Would a week be long enough without feeling rushed?

I do think that you should stop planning and worrying. Not that it would be a problem, nothing is better than being there.

If you go down further on this board you will see a section for DL. They are a helpful bunch of people.

A week is more than enough time if you are just going to do DL. It is a whole different place vs. WDW.

When we set a date for a Disney trip, it is all hands on deck and let the planning begin. I bug everyone and have Disney Command Central set up in the study. After all of the ADR's have been made and there are 6 months until the trip, I have a cool off period where life goes on. About 2-1/2 months before the trip, the craziness starts to build back up. We make a countdown chain 45 days before the trip and then it is every man for him/herself! No one is allowed to make fun of anyone else's Disney psychoness in our home!!! This year has been totally different though. We went in April, May and June and the craziness kinda stopped after May. We don't go back until October and then have a 9 day trip in November that will be the "Mother of All Disney Trips" and the psychoness will be in full gear. ADR's are already made, but there is so much more to get excited about!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy anticipation and have a great trip!:woohoo:

I don't feel I have burned out, as much as I have slowed down a bit. Only we're leaving in 3 weeks and there's still things I need to do!

However, nightmares... now those have started!

Two mornings ago hubby was letting me sleep in. I woke up at 8:30am after dreaming that the 10/10:30 Akershus ressie I've been stalking for the past month finally showed up. We were at my grandparents' house... I was on my brother's laptop... started to snag the reservation when my dad decided to start driving... yes, driving the house down the road. The laptop lost the wireless connection and I went crazy mad! Storming all over, trying to get my computer to boot up and back to the website... getting internet hijacked... finally back to Disney's dining reservation only to discover someone else snagged my time slot. :scared1:

Then I woke up. I really need to chill! :rotfl:

Just relax. Its going to be amazing. Just go with the flow get excited and have fun!

I was starting to get excited and then ME luggage tags were in the mail yesterday and that really got me going.:yay::cheer2::woohoo:
It's almost a reality. My worst fear is that the week at WDW always flies by.

I'm going to admit I am currently just posting because I am -so- excited that I actually am desperate to see my ticker (haven't posted in days) and get an accurate count restarted in my head! Everything here just helps fuel the crazy happiness that comes with reading the DISboards all the time!

I've turned a bit obsessive the last few days but now I'm just getting to the point of 'let's go already!':rotfl2:

Happy to hear I'm not the only one that has Disney planning nightmares! I've only had three but that's two more than I had during wedding planning this past spring---and I was expecting tons

I have them too. In mine we get to Disney but it doesnt look at all like Disney and I wonder why I did all of that planning and cant get anywhere. Nope, you are not alone!

These boards are amazing! I'll have a thought and get on the boards and someone has posted my exact same thought! Maybe it's just scary that there are more people out there that think like me! :lmao: :scared1:
We have about 6 weeks to go (can't believe it, started the countdown at 210 days!) and have done EVERYTHING there possibly is to do! I think I have spent more money planning the trip than I will on the trip itself! :rotfl:I have bought EVERY single guide book there is on WDW, I have made all our ADR's, I have made Garden Grocer reservations and Orlando Stoller Rental reservations, my Disney packing box is filled with the little things, like sunscreen, first aid items, glow sticks, etc. I've ordered DS's costume from Ebay for MNSSHP... now I'm just having to sit back and wait and it's killing me! And I did think to myself the other day, "I wonder if all this planning will actually take some of the magic out of the trip." Like, will it live up to my expectations? First trip for me and my son, and while I don't feel like it has to be "perfect," I want it to be REALLY fun!
I am trying to keep the "go with the flow" advice first and foremost in my head. With a five-year-old, there is only so much planning you can do anyhow! :rolleyes1
I did order the six DVD set on WDW from Amazon last week. I figured the last few weeks until we leave could be spent watching the DVD's with my son. That will help pass the time! :woohoo:
Until then... just going to keep planning as much as I can! So excited and can't wait to go! :dance3:

Ha...welcome to my world honey! You should stop worrying about getting burnt-out with all your planning and researching. I think most Disers will admit that planning and finishing off all the little details is half the fun of a Disney vacation. I know I always feel a bit lost when we come home after a trip, not just because we had to leave WDW :sad1: but also because now I don't have a trip to plan. I say if you feel like planning right up until you are at check in, then go for it! :thumbsup2
