We will be going to Disneyworld between Christmas and New Years. Although, we have been there many times, we never ventured to Disney during this period. Do anyone have anything experience with Disney's crowds, etc during this period? Thanks for an answer.

The crowds are HUGE. Particularly the time period between Christmas and New Years. On a positive note, the parks are open late, the decorations are gorgeous, the whole atmosphere of WDW is so festive, and there are more special events. We enjoy going to the different resorts to see the decorations, of course, there is the Osborn Family lights at MGM, Christmas around the World at Epcot, Christmas Carollers at select times at Grand Floridian, all the gingerbread house displays throughout, etc. I love Christmas at Disney. We've spent the last 2 years at MK on Christmas Day.

Wow! is that place ever mobbed! Try the week or two before. The lights are up and the place looks fantastic. Just as good as Christmas week, but without the HUGE crowds. You will probably hear from crowd lovers who think nothing of wall to wall people, but if you are not one to walk around like a can of sardines, try another week.

Steve, we plan to head down a couple of days after Christmas in 05. I know it will be packed, but we do not take the kids out of school anymore and this is the only way for us to go at the holiday time now. My plan is to not try to see and do everything. We will focus on seeing decoration, CP, Osbourne lights, and maybe just riding/seeing the new things using FP. I will also schedule some PSs at places we have been wanting to try. I think you will do fine. People get too worked up about the crowds IMO, if this is a good time for your family to go I say "go for it!" When you know you will be back again in not too long you don't have to go commando.
