I'm heading there this Sunday and it's a long 3 hour drive from our house. I'm just wondering what kind of stuff they have in the store. I know it might change from today until Sunday but I would like to have an idea. Thanks for anyone that has been there recently. Also, do they run any specials for weekends only? I know the one in TN does..just curious.

TIA!!!

Haven't been very recently. They always have clothes, toys, house wears, collectables and videos. Its still owned and opperated by Disney, yippee.

I am headed to Potomac Mills today. (lucky me- I live 5 min. away!) I could pop in & check it out for you.

Is there anything specific you are looking for? I'll be going over around lunch time.

That is incorrect. The Disney Outlet at Potomac Mills is owned by the Children's Place. The Walt Disney Company sold it to them August 2005. Most of the CMs left during this sale. It is nothing more than a Disney Store outlet now and carries basically the same stuff that your local Disney store sells. My husband was a CM there for more than 7 years and has not returned since he left in August. Losing this outlet was a huge disappointment for us and many of it's loyal local guests. :sad2:

BTW: no housewears, no collectables, and no videos--nothing from the catalog since they are no longer part of the same company.

Hey, I'll be there Sunday too! All three of my kids need new shoes, and the Stride Rite Outlet rocks!

Sometimes I find a ton of stuff at the Disney Outlet, sometimes nothing. Kinda depends on what they have in stock. Hopefully luvmyboys will post and let us know what she found.

Allright guys. Depends on what you're looking for. I wasn't impressed today (even though I still managed to spend $27.00!!)-- like Twingle said, it's hit or miss.

Bathing suits, flip flops, towels up front. No big savings there- swim trunks $16.50. Don't think so!

Large plush 2 for $20, small 2 for $10. Had cute Finding Nemo characters. As usual TONS of Princess toys, clothes, etc... All PJ's on sale. 75% off winter clothing, not a whole lot left though. Some fleece & regular sweatshirts.

Clearance on spinning/light up toys, but almost NOTHING left there.

NO GLOBES, PINS, COLLECTIBLES OF ANY KIND. n2mm obviously has the inside scoop, but as a shopper I have definitely noticed the change since they reopened... CM at front desk said they keep asking for Globes, and are working hard to get pins.

Let me know if you are looking for something specific-- I took a pretty thorough look around.

I used to get all kinds of good things there before they 're-opened', now I find very few bargains and find that many of the items are the same price as at the Disney Store. Sad, but true.

If anyone ever goes up north to Rehobeth Beach, they have a super Disney outlet there. We have a house up there and I always find great stuff, and yes, it's an outlet, not a regular Disney store. Also, in Delaware, no sales tax!
If you get on their mailing list, they have great coupons.

WHAT?!? OH NO!!!!!! Has it been that long since I've been? The last tiem I went after Children's Place took over the stores it was still opperated by Disney. Well forget it, then. I've got no reason to go back.

Boo double Hoo

We hit this one on our way back from OC last week.I think They had better savings at our local Disney store and about the same stuff as well.It was set up just like a store they had maybe 4 sale areas in the back and that was about it.

Does anyone know if there is a Disney outlet at Arundel Mills? TIA!

I haven't been there in almost a year...but no Disney outlet at Arundel Mills. The closest store would be in Columbia Mall.

I'm suprised they didn't have any good winter sale items. I only get up there once during the winter and a few times in the summer. My mom goes all the time. They usually have good after season deals. They are a Catalogue Outlet, at least they used to be. I have found great costume's and T-shirts. Last time I was in there it was late August and I got bathing suits for $3.XX, cover up's for $3.XX, and Tshirts for the whole family, $1.25 each! Sorry you didn't have better luck, try it again if you are in the neighborhood. Like most of those Outlet stores, it's hit or miss! :sunny:

Luvmyboys--Thanks for lettin know what they had. I'm really not looking for anything in particular right now. Just trying to find some cheap little things for the kids on our first trip to the World in October. I guess I will have to wait and see Sunday to see if they get anything new in. Thanks again.

And the Columbia Mall one has become fairly lame. I prefer to use the online Disney Store now to driving the 5 minutes to the mall, because of the lack of anything good at the mall store.

I hit that one every once in awhile and was at the Owings mill one today .

You can see the difference since TCP took over everything is geared to the under 8 crowd .Just a few globes some dvd's and t-shirts for the adults is all.

Exactly. I mean if I had kids yet (still have two years to go), it would be okay. I use to enjoy going into the Disney store though with just me and hubby we could almost always find something we wanted. There were always some adult themed things there, now unless I want mugs or a t-shirt I'm out of luck completely.

Well from the looks of our upcoming trips at least we will have WoD to look forward to :thumbsup2

Even DD12 doesn't look forward to go into TDS any more and thats bad.

I live in Woodbridge and sorry to say they closed the store (Disney Outlet) several months and another company took over and it still goes by the same name (I guess The Children's Place). However, the store doesn't carry the merchandise, no adult sizes, jewelry, snowglobes, videos and NO good sales. In addition you used to get a discount with your Disney Outlet card (10%) but no more. The regular Disney store at Springfield Mall closed and there used to be one at the Fredericksburg Mall but I am not aware of it's current status.

Disney Crazy Debbie,

I KNEW there used to be a Disney Store at Springfield Mall. (I live in Woodbridge too). Last time I was there I spent 45 min trying to find it! Do you know how long ago it closed? Seems like that mall is really going down hill...
