So true! She'd probably get a different answer if she posted down in the Universal trip planning boards, though.
For what it's worth, I didn't vote. I think it's impossible to compare the two. I love the luxury of staying onsite at Universal and walking everywhere and having unlimited express access to lines. Disney's got nothing like that. Universal also has better, more technologically astonishing rides.
But on the other hand, Disney's more than four times as large, and there's SO much to do, and you can't beat the nostalgia factor. I also love Disney tours and special events and shows, which Universal doesn't offer, being so much smaller.
And as for comparing the cast members/team members, I get kind of annoyed when people try to say one set of employees is better than the other. They're equally likely to be delightful or grumpy. They're the SAME darn people! I've even met several who've worked for both parks.
So I don't really think it's a fair comparison. Each park does what they do very well. I can't pick one I prefer, any more than I can choose the one I prefer among my two children.
