Disney or Outside Vendors???

Does Disney give you a list of outside vendors that you can choose from? OR Do you have to do the research on your own???? I am thinking Chapman Photography and Kennedy Video Productions!!! If any of you have chosen one or both please ket me know how they did in the end... Their websites samples are gorgeous.... Also do you have to pay an extra fee since you are not using Disney????? Confused

I haven't used either, but I have heard they both do a great job. Just remember, Outside Vendors don't count toward the minimums...

we used randy chapman for our wedding photography & he did an awesome job, i was very pleased with him on the day of & when i got all my photos & album.

disney gives you some outside vendor information like officiants & tux rental but thats it, disney gives you their contact info for their photo, video, floral & music. so you would have to research those on your own. there are escort fees for outside photo & video and usage fees for outside music vendors those are the 2 i know of.

is this just for park weddings? I'm sure I heard that you didn't have to pay Disney anything for using external photo and / or video, but we are using the WP. Maybe someone could confirm this, please.

I think the fees are more at Disney's discretion.

We used STVS for video (which I loved Stan and Bonnie) well still love them! And Randy Chapman for photos. Loved him too. I think if it is a new vendor that they are not sure of they ask for the fee maybe. I don't think that we ever payed for it.

We are using Randy Chapman for photo and Kennedy for video and so far I love them both. I am prepared to pay an escort fee for each however as Jonette mentioned it is at Disney'd discretion. Also as someone mentioned it does not count toward your min but you do get a whole lot more through an outside vendor in the realm of photo and video than Disney can offer. I believe (please use this as a reference or call your coordinator for an exact figure) Disney charges in the relm of $30/hr for an escort fee per vendor.

I didn't notice any fees from Disney. Doesn't mean that they weren't there. That BEO is hard to read. I paid Stan and Randy their regular rate.
