Would you still be able to go to Disney, just not stay onsite, or woulod Disney be out of the question entirely with the trip to Discovery Cove?

If you could still plan on some Disney time, just not an onsite stay, I think that doing Discovery Cove and staying offsite would definatly be your best option. Discovery Cove is beautiful and a very magical experience in a totally different way than anything Disney has to offer. The whole day that my mom, sister and I spent there was fantastic. In fact, to me, swimming with the dolphins was not even the highlight of our time spent there. I enjoyed the saltwater snorkeling and the island just off the lazy river far more. And the food they served for lunch was fantastic! I tried to find a way for my BF and I to spend a day there during our Disney trip this year, but it just wasn't going to work out, unfortunatly.

If you can't do Disney, though... If your child is younger, I would definatly say that she would get more out of the Disney experience than she would out of Discovery Cove. I think she would ENJOY both, but would probably have more of a total magical experience at Disney. Disney magic just can't be beat. Nothing out there seems able to compare with the fantastic voyage away from reality that Disney is able to offer for all of their guests. No matter what you do, plan, find time for, etc, the magic always seems to find its way to you if you let it.

Whatever you decide, I'm sure your daughter will have a fabulous time!
