Hi abbyjoysmom! Love your pre-trip report...made me laugh and remember about when I first discovered the DIS. My family thought I was obsessed also. I guess I still am. I can't give it up!

I know your trip will be awesome and full of magical moments. I have a couple of little tid bits for you.
Buy some "Body Glide" non-chafing, non greasy anti-friction stuff. Works great! You can purchase at sporting good type stores.
Also, if your DD is a fan of Tinkerbell...try to wake up her up. The store is Tinkerbell's Treasure and is located in Fantasyland to the left of the carousel. If you are the first in the shop in the morning you can wake her up. You get a magical moment certificate and an opportunity for some really cute pictures
Last fall was our first trip and it was just amazing. We had tons of fun and made so many great family memories.

Cherokeemamma: I have looked everywhere for the body glide. I think we are destined to live without, but I do have one more store to check.


I will be traveling all next week on business and so will have almost no time to think about Disney. I am of course extremely saddened by the thought of a week without the DIS, and my husband is jubilant at the thought of a week without me and the kid!

I found body glide on the REI.com website.
I am leaving in 4 weeks, i have know idea what we are doing. I dont have a plan for any of our days. I am still considering Tour Guide Mike. But I have just been so busy at work and enjoying my summer off from school and my kids not having any sports i have just been lazy!!!
I am really enjoying your report, so far.

I finally found bodyglide at drugstore.com. Arid cream deodorant works as well.

It's like I'm reading my own pre-trip drama.... I have planned, learned, replanned, booked ADR's, cancelled ADR's, rebooked ADR's. My family says I have Disney OCD. I'm not allowed to even speak about our trip anymore... my DH says I'm on WDW timeout. Loving your pre-trip report!!!

You can find moleskin in the footcare section by the corn cusions and such. I got ours at Big Lots, but they have it at about every pharmacy.

I love it that there are others who go crazy with trip planning. I was afraid I was the only one. We are going in Nov. This will be my 7th trip my DH's 1st. Plus it is our anniv. So yes I've booked... rebooked so many times I'm afraid that Disney has my file marked. But they have been very nice about it every time. The great thing for me though is that my DH has caught on to the excitement!!! Now he can't wait to go!! The magic is incredible!!!

Okay, I know I said part four would be the final day before we depart on our momentous first trip to Disney World, but I realized that it was important to warn others of the elusive hunt for body glide.

I live in Dallas; for many of you this may mean nothing for others you understand the vast enormity of this statement. Dallas is huge! It takes me longer to drive across Dallas than it does to drive to Oklahoma. Does anyone else see something wrong with that? So as you know from my previous posts I have been on the search for mole skin or body glide. I have looked in every Wal-Mart, Walgreens, and anything else with a Wal in the title for the last two months with no luck. I think I have spent more money in gasoline trying to find this product than on my entire trip to Disney World. I know once again you are asking yourself why I did not just purchase it on the internet. And of course, I will have to once again remind you that I am a workaholic stay at home mom that forgets about the amazing ability to find everything online.

Today was the last straw, I was going to find body glide if it killed me! I had read the posts from other DISers who said that REI*com and drugstore*com carried it. This is where I will have to stop and explain something. I am extremely stubborn! Of course, I could have made my life easier and bought the body glide online but where was the challenge in that. So I set out on a mission, DH in tow, to find body glide. Once DH found out that I was once again shopping for Disney the gloves were off, but I was determined to win this battle (which of course I did). I stopped in every sporting goods store within a 45-minute drive of my house and received the same response “what is body glide?’ You would think people working in a sporting goods store would know about products that athletes use, well you would think wrong! I knew REI would probably have it but it was on the other side of town. This would mean I would have to take two highways, a turnpike and wouldn’t make it home till next Tuesday; DH was definitely not falling for that one. So sadly, I made my way home no body glide in hand; I even made him stop in Big Lots to check.

My will had been broken. I was not up for the challenge. I was defeated. As I cried over my humiliating loss to the body glide, I signed onto drugstore*com and bought it in less than two minutes. Let this serve as a warning to all of the stubborn, I know I can find it on my own, DISers out there. You cannot do it! Body glide resides in an alternate universe in which it can only be purchased online, so stop the insanity and accept defeat drugstore*com is calling you home!

I so relate! However I live in the boonies so getting to sporting goods stores is quite a drive as well. I have more hunting stores than sporting goods stores in my entire county. Glad you finally sucumbed to the online shopping force.
