Hi,

Your trip sounds great and I am very impressed with how well planned you have things even the small details. The pirate party was very cute love the skull on the table.

There is a shop in Downtown Disney not far from Goofys Candy Co that sells all kinds of Disney things for the home. I have only been in a couple of times as I cant buy big things cos theres no room inthe luggage to get them home.
They sell lots of different things like Mickey toasters glasses and tableware so you should be able to easily find something for your house sitter in there.

Wow I got lucky on that one!!! Right were I already plan on shopping!!! Thanks for the info I have a pamplet on Downtown Disney and sure enough!! "Mickey's Pantry" is next to Goofy's candy store!!:cool1:

Here are two websites with info on Florida's Turnpike/Tolls. IMO the wikipedia site is better!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida's_Turnpike
http://www.floridasturnpike.com/about_faqs.cfm

You're right I like the wikipedia site!!! Thanks!!

Is that the total of what you've spent so far or is that your grand total??

Your plans look good! I have no answers for the questions you asked:confused3 but I'm interested in reading any answers.:)

CUTE, CUTE, CUTE Pirate party!!

Thanks!! So far I have only spent just over $1,000 for tickets, down payment on room, and travel insurance. But the total shown in the last post will be how much I've will have spent...hopefully:lmao: ...by that day.

I have spent alot more "out of pocket" for extra stuff like in the pictures I've posted. Other stuff I've bought is travel hand santizer, travel baby wipes, travel stain stick, el cheapo rain ponchos, noodle..floaty..pool..thingys, travel detergent, calling cards, waterproof box (camera, cellphone), new atlas, moleskin, pop-up hamper, camp towel (super absorbant). Okay I've gotten out of hand!!:rotfl2:

You're preaching to the choir here.....;)

You are inspiring me to try and keep a better budget. We'll see.:rolleyes1 Love the Pirate Party. Especially the Sponge Bob cake.
Mickey's Pantry is what I was going to suggest. My whole kitchen is Disney theme so I love that store.

Just in case anyone is wondering why I have planned what we are eating in the room everyday...I want to get in and out of Walmart as fast as possible so I wanted to have a grocery list, also so I don't buy more food than we need.

You're preaching to the choir here.....;)

:rotfl: I know I have been keeping track of your shopping list on your report:rotfl:
I think you are doing a good job and buying stuff that will make your vacation that much easier!!!

I definately think that setting a budget in the beginning really helped keep me in perspective!! Otherwise we would be staying at AKL/savannah view and eating TS twice a day everyday!! That would put us in debt big time and we would have to put off the wedding........maybe we could just put it off....NO!!:headache: :sad1: One day....AKL.....one day....

The planning sounds like it's going well. Don't sweat Tom Sawyer's island. I have read a couple places of where people have found brushes in the afternoon. Here is a link to the thread I had started to answer some questions about TSI: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1610347
Don't forget to look behind the curtains upstairs in the Fort.

Quick question, What is the Tip about getting Bamboo in China at Epcot?

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

The tip about the bamboo in china, I got off of a "cheap/free souviners" list I read somewhere!! I have alot of plants and they are each a different "species", and I would love to have alot more!! I will edit the previous post so it makes more sense.

Thanks again Maz:thumbsup2

popcorn:: Budget TOTAL!!!!!!popcorn::

Balance 3,151
MK Food 93
Parking 11
Travel Food 305

TOTAL 3,623

WHOO HOO Under Budget!!!:dance3: That will leave room for high gas prices, or emergency cases that insurance won’t cover. Like accidentally dropping a BBQ sandwich in the lap of your khaki pants and having to spend $50 for some Disney sweat pants!!:scared1:

Well I think I will start packing tomorrow!!!! I will definately do the ziploc bag idea with DSS's clothes, I will label them cold or warm to make it even easier to pick weather appropriate clothes. I like this Idea better than writing the day you want to wear it, in the winter season the weather is unpredictable.

I also have to help DSS make his Valentine's box and cards early, because he will miss his class Valentine party!! His teacher has agreed to let me bring in his box with cards for the other kids and she will pass them out so he doesn't miss out on everything!! She is another Disney lover so she is being very supportive!!:teacher:

You need to budget my trip from now on....:thumbsup2

You budget really well!! I'm pretty good at it on a "normal" basis but we somehow lose it on vacation. :confused3 :rolleyes1

Accountant Planet C. Aravan at your service!! I'm just glad I added everything up right.....well, no body check and we'll never know!!;)

All I can say is wow I am very impressed. That is amazing I definitely should relook at our budget!

I am sure we will "lose" more money while we are there!! DBF saved up more of his own money to spend on DSS and I. But the goal was to have the major chunk ($4,000) in the bank before we left to pay off the Credit Cards when we got home to avoid interest!!! It's highway robbery!!! :scared: :headache: :scared1:

Electric Umbrella-Food is average here for me, but we always seem to eat one meal here. I always get a burger here.

Flame Tree- Pulled Pork Sandwich w/ spicy BBQ sauce with a side of onion rings.

Cosmic Ray's--I can't even remember what I've had here.....so that should be a clue....We're eating here again in Feb...I've heard the chicken and ribs aren't bad.

Rainforest Cafe--I'm a pot roast guy and it's pretty good here.

I would think the Mexican food CS restaurant in Adventureland is closed since it is off season. It only opens during peak periods. El pirata y el perico.

Hope that helps.:thumbsup2

mmmmmmm pulled pork sandwich!!! I love BBQ with onion rings!!! NO EL PIRATA Y EL PERICO!?!?! :scared: Oh no...I will have to check out AllEars.net and start looking for a replacement place to eat. I picked that place because the parade will be going through exactly when we want to cross over from Adventureland to Frontierland so I thought we would eat to pass the time! Oh well I will figure something else out. It's a good thing I haven't laminated my iteneraries yet.;)

Hi!

I just found and read your whole pre-TR and really liked it! Your trip is getting pretty close! :thumbsup2

As for the counter service meals; we've done only CS during our trip last year, but we've only been to two of the places you listed. Here's what I ate there:

Electric Umbrella: A great salad with chicken and pineapple. Actually one of the best meals I had in Disneyworld!
electricumbrellasalad.jpg

Cosmic Rays: Burger with fries. You can put everything you like on your own burger. It was good!
