I posted a few weeks ago that I won tickets to Disney on Ice from the radio. Well, we went last night, and it was :cheer2: AMAZING :cheer2:

This was the first time my babies, 9,8 and 5, got to see anything Disney NOT on tv!! The look on by DS5's son's face when Jiminy Cricket skated out to start the show just made me cry!! :lovestruc

If you get a chance to see this, TOTALLY worth it. And when a character appears for the first time in the show, instead of the applause you'd expect, you get a whole audience of people gasping at once. SO wonderful to finally give my kids a taste of pixie dust. :wizard:

Oh, your post was so sweet it inspired me to look for a show over here but theres nothing but cinderella and snow white on ice and my DS is so 'anti' princesses I don't think he'd appreciate it, but I'll keep looking, maybe nearer xmas they'll do it, thanks anyway

Sounds like fun! Was it the 100 years of magic one? We took DD3 to that one, and she loved it...actually got to shake some hands at the end, which she was a little unsure of, as this was the first time for that. We'll be taking both DDs this fall again to whichever one is in the area. Its so fun watching your kids watch it too!

Disney on Ice is great! I's so glad your kids liked it.

DH, DD (7) and I went to see Disney on Ice-Finding Nemo in December and it was wonderful! We were in the front row (much to my surprise - our tickets were in the 3rd row but that was considered the 1st row!!) and DH was thoroughly impressed with the show. He loves all things Disney but I think he was a little reluctant to go to the show.

I can't wait until another Disney on Ice show comes back to town!

I haven't been since I was a kid, but I remember loving those shows soooo much! Not I want to go, too. :Pinkbounc

We saw "Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journey" a few months ago. And we saw "Jungle Adventures" last year.

Mediocre skating, but good staging.

We've been to WDW three times with our kids and I have a question about Disney on Ice. DS is a huge Buzz fan and Disney on Ice just came to our area but we didn't go. Some friends of ours went, it was the 100 years of magic show, and brought back pictures- the Buzz and Woody looked different from the parks. I'm sure it is b/c they had to alter the costumes so they could skate. But, I'm curious, have any of you ever had your kids ask about this. I'm afraid if I took DD5 and DS 3 (will be 4 in a few weeks), that they would notice the difference. Anyone experience this?

Finding Nemo is in our town this week!

They all are great shows, especially for kids. My 4 year-old DD loves seeing any princess skating...it’s the next best thing to going to Disneyworld.

It was 100 years of Magic I saw. My kids didn't notice the Woody and Buzz thing at all. I was a little concerned, because Buzz looks...odd...in the still pictures I'd seen, but in person you really didn't notice. Stage lighting and all the pixie dust floating around, I guess.

IMO the effects for Beauty and the Beast were AMAZING and a little scary, but in a good way, because the kids already know how it ends. The Genie from Aladdin was awesome, too.
