(sorry if this isn't the right place for this)

Has anyone been?

There will be a show in December, which is about an hour away from us and I'd love to take my oldest DD. She'd LOVE it!

I was checking out the website and it says the show is called "New Disney" but when I go to the shows list where you can see about all the different ones, it's not listed. It only lists Princess Classics, Finding Nemo, Celebrations, Worlds of Fantasy, and 100 Years of Magic.

Is it still too early for me to find info on the show that's coming near us, or does anyone know what characters will be at "New Disney" :confused3

**I did a little more searching on the interent and other ticket offices are calling the show Celebrations, not New Disney.

We have done Nemo on Ice and Princess Classics and loved them both.

Be prepared to fork out $13 for a snowball in a Ciinderella cup! LOL!

I just got a presale flyer in the mail for the Celebrations show. I already bought our tickets for this show. I can tell you that the flyer I got says:

It's one colossal party on ice, with all your favorite Disney friends! Enjoy a winter wonderland with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, a Halloween haunt with the Disney Villians, a Verry Merry Unbirthday Party, a Royal Ball with the Disney Princesses and more in a magical medly of holidays, celebrations, and festivals from around the globe.

We went to one last October. I think it was called Disneyland Adventures on Ice. It's storyline followed the Incredibles going to Disneyland for a normal day vacation. It was really good. I was really impressed. Our kids loved it. They were 6, 4, and just shy of 2 when we saw it. Our kids had such fun at it last year, that I think this will become an annual event for us...or at least until the kids outgrow it.

I think it is better viewing if you are not right on the rink level. Our venue seating had an option of $72, $52, $40, $22, and $16. We bought the $22 section. We were on rinkside last year and while it was nice to see the characters up close, it was hard to see the whole rink floor. Some of my friends who go annually always sit halfway up the sides ($22 section) and said those seats are so much better in order to see the whole rink at once.

As a PP said...be prepared to fork out some serious cash for stuff at the show. They had numerous light up toys, cotton candy, popcorn, etc. Everything you bought came with a souvinear...ex. cotton candy had a Dash Mask/hair attached to it; popcorn had a Syndrome Mask/hair attached to it; sno cone was in a Dash cup that you could reuse when you got home; lemonade was in a resuable water bottle. The kids still play with the Dash and Syndrome hats, as well as drink out of the Dash cups. The water bottles got ruined in the dishwasher. It said handwash only, but I thought I could get away with putting it on the top rack. Trust me, they meant handwash only, because the tops melted and became quite contorted.

We loved Disney on Ice a few months ago. I'm sure there's a different show running, ours had Lilo and Stitch, the Lion King, Peter Pan, the Little Mermaid, and hmm? I think there was something else! Can't recall now.

I purchased my tickets with a code I got on travelzoo.com, thanks to a Budget Board DISer! The tickets were 50% off. My two girls loved the show.

I know! Then my daughter kept asking for the $10 cotton candy they walk around with before the show!

We went last year with our 3 year old daughter and she LOVED it. She sat in her seat the whole time and watched the whole thing. There was Nemo, Little Mermaid, Lion King, Lilo and Stitch, and Peter Pan. I have tons of pictures if you would like to see them. It was a really good show my husband and I were just talking yesterday about how we wish it would come back in our area.

I received the pre-sale post card and it listed all of the shows they are doing this year. Go to disneyonice.com and see if it tells you which show is coming to your area with photos and a brief description.

I took my son to see the Worlds of Fantasy show last year & he loved it, he was 2 1/2 at the time! We got the card for the show coming to Charlotte in October & I showed it to him. Without even telling him what it was, he said it was for the "Mickey Show!!!" He was right! I ordered tickets for Opening Night, so it was Buy 1, Get 1 free! I think we're in the $22 range ($11 each for us! :thumbsup2). The show coming here is also the "Celebrations" show. I'm already starting to save for his toy he's got to get. :confused3:lmao:

I hope you have a wonderful time at the show (if you decide to go)!!
