I just read somewhere that if you wait until the show is over, you can buy BAGS of souvenirs for $10 -- meaning you can get a bag with a light-up toy and a few other things for $10, instead of just 1 thing for $10. Is that true, and is it everywhere or just certain arenas or something? And, is it a 'grab bag' thing, or do you know what's in it before you buy it?

I have never heard of this - for one thing - the show travels from city to city - so why would they clearance the items? They are also the same thing from year to year and show to show.

I would bet they were talking about outside the street vendors sell all the toys for WAY cheaper than inside.

IMHO - if you can put of the souvenior until the end of the show -then you don't need it - the reason the kids always want them is b/c everyone in the arena has a light up toy during the show!

I have never seen that and have been to a dozen of the ice shows. Only thing I have ever gotten cheaper are concert t-shirts from the guys selling in the parking lot.

I have seen this done at every Disney Ice show I have ever been to...however it is NOT things from the show you just went to. It it a bag with lots of stuff form older shows. Still a good deal especially if you went to the older shows and did not want to fork over the dough to buy the things then. Just don't expect anything current.

They are selling this outside the exit doors usually about 10 feet from the doors. THere are not a lot of guys doing the selling like they were before the show but the items are in a clear plastic so you can see what you are getting. Usually a big coloring book, and several smaller trinkets. Seems like when we bought them there was stuff in there from 4 or 5 past shows. When DD was younger we used to buy one of these after each show.

we use to take dd about 8 years ago. The 1st time we bought her 1-2 souvinors. After the show we saw the cheap bags they were selling with goodies and never again did we spend $$ before ther shows for souvinors. i thought those light up toys were more then $10.
After that we would buy the snowcone in the souvinor cup then the bag after the show. We still have the souvinor cups up in my curio cabinet :goodvibes

Yes, I've purchased the $10 bags at the end of the show. All of the stuff is from previous shows and included coloring books, t-shirts, beach towels, cups, etc.

Also, if you purchase something from the show and it stops working they will replace it with a new one. Our light up toy stopped working after 3 years and we took it back and they replaced it. It was a different theme as the show had changed but they did replace it for us.
