Hi all!

I am wondering if any of you have recently been to a Disney on Ice show, what are some of the souvies that they are selling and how much are they? I am sure that they are not inexpensive, but am looking for an idea. My mom and I are taking my DD (3) to the show here on Sunday and I would like to let her choose something, I'm just looking for an idea of how much $$ to bring.

Thank you!!!

We saw Princess Classics last year. Both DD's wanted the lightchasers, I'm pretty sure they were $16.00. princess:

It's been a couple of years, but we bought the guide books for about $10. (one year they had 3-D glasses) These books have all of the pictures of the characters in costume and tells the story of what happens.

One year the kids got light-up mickey/minnie ears for $15-20.

Also, an Ariel plastic molded doll was about $14.

On the plus side, they always told us that they are guaranteed no matter what! I put them to the test, when a friend dropped the Ariel doll on the carpeted floor and her head snapped off! I called the number in the guide book and they sent a replacement within the week!

They also told me if the 3D glasses or the book got torn during the show, to bring them back and they would replace them. Not sure if this is still how it is being run, but needless to say, we were happy with it all.

HTH!
Peg

(we've been 3 different times...the note above sounds like we bought all of this on one trip)

we saw toy story 2 on ice about 2 wks ago. i got a mug with a snowcone in it for $8. (i had to have it, it was jessie :) )

the lit swords were $16. in fact $16 seemed to be the price for a lot of the souveniers.

the woody, jessie and bullseye small dolls were $24!!!!! totally outrageous imo.

the show was great though, my ds (2 yrs) loved it.

We saw Monsters, Inc. last fall. They had a bag of cotton candy with a hardhat on it..those were $10!! Souvies are expensive at these type places. We went to the circus recently and found the cheapest item to be the $5.00 coloring book :D

I think Disney on Ice makes Disney Word look like a bargain! Plus there are booths EVERYWHERE and guys walking up and down the aisles, GEEZ! We always get a snowcone in a collectable cup (snowcones are usually frozen ice and can't really be eaten the right way) Cute containers though, this year we go Stitch, DD's favorite, I was thinking it was $10.00 (it came with a straw as well) and we bought a small stuffed dalmatian for $12.00. The place gives DD the "wants" she normally doesn't ask for things like that.

I agree with crazywig re the prices at Disney on Ice. We also went to Toy Story 2 on Ice recently. Steered the kids away from most stuff, but it wasn't easy. Huge souvenir booths set up right on top of eachother. Expensive (especially the dolls) and I don't think they were as nice as the dolls you find at Disney Store. Off the subject a bit, I still don't think it was as bad as at Sesame Street Live, where we bought an $8 balloon.

We went to Disney Princesses on Ice in January. They had princess dolls, hats, T-shirts, light chasers, pens, beanies, wands, crowns, and other little things that I just can't remember right now. The prices were pretty close to what you'd pay at Disneyland. (Since we live in Los Angeles, we go all the time to DL.) So, I'd assume it would be similar to what they charge in WDW. My mom bought my daughter a doll and I think it was close to $20.
My daughter got the cutest snow cone cup with Cinderella on it. It worked out well because she got a snow cone at the show and the cup was a fairly inexpensive souveiner. I think it was 7 or 8 dollars for the snow cone and cup.
They also had photo opportunities where you got your child's picture taken with a standee of Mickey or Cinderella. It was a polaroid picture for $5. I didn't think that was worth it.
But on the plus side, the show was great!
Hope you have a good time.

Thank you all for your responses!!! This gives me an idea of how much $$ I should bring. I want her to have a special day but do not want to go broke!!!

Thank you again!!!
