Our family (DH & I and DS8 & DD4) saw this show today in Providence, RI and we gave it 4 thumbs up! It helped that we watched the movie last night so it was fresh in our minds. It was also great that we were only 7 rows from the ice!
I was talking to one of the workers and she said that this was only the 4th or so show so it is still very new. (At one point Randall got stuck when he was coming down from a door and needed outside help - they'll be fixing that!)
Mickey, Minnie, Donald & Goofy come out to start the show and they are part of the ending - real nice to see some "old" friends. The monsters were very well portrayed on ice. They did add a few things that weren't in the movie but they weren't too distracting. We have seen all the Disney on Ice shows now and have enjoyed every one.
A note to parents who may want to bring small children to the show...
We had several young children near us who got VERY upset with this show (3 families actually got up and left). It has moments of darkness, bright flashing lights, screaming, and lots and lots of monsters. Not scary for my 4 yo but some kids were SCREAMING in fear. It was too bad because it was a good show. So if you plan to go, be aware.
