Our family (DH & I and DS8 & DD4) saw this show today in Providence, RI and we gave it 4 thumbs up! It helped that we watched the movie last night so it was fresh in our minds. It was also great that we were only 7 rows from the ice! :)

I was talking to one of the workers and she said that this was only the 4th or so show so it is still very new. (At one point Randall got stuck when he was coming down from a door and needed outside help - they'll be fixing that!)

Mickey, Minnie, Donald & Goofy come out to start the show and they are part of the ending - real nice to see some "old" friends. The monsters were very well portrayed on ice. They did add a few things that weren't in the movie but they weren't too distracting. We have seen all the Disney on Ice shows now and have enjoyed every one.

A note to parents who may want to bring small children to the show...

We had several young children near us who got VERY upset with this show (3 families actually got up and left). It has moments of darkness, bright flashing lights, screaming, and lots and lots of monsters. Not scary for my 4 yo but some kids were SCREAMING in fear. It was too bad because it was a good show. So if you plan to go, be aware.

Yea!!! Thanks for the review. I just our tickets for the show in Atlanta in Nov. I made Dh and DSs (7 and 5) go with me to Disney on Ice the last time it was here- it was the Disney Princesses on ice. They will be much more excited about the Monsters.

Thanks for the review. Sounds like you had a great time.

Sounds interesting, but I am definitely NOT taking DD! She does not like dark and scary things. I would like to see it though. :)

Sounds wonderful! I hope it comes to Pittsburgh:Pinkbounc

Thanks for the review! I bought tickets for this show in October in Baltimore. We go to all the Disney ice shows and can't wait for this one. It gives us a little bit of Disney between our trips!

We are going Friday.... Cant wait. It is the start of my big birthday weekend. Disney on Ice.... Cubs in playoffs.... Ahhhh it is soooooo good to be turning 40!

Cool! I can't wait until DS is old enough to go to those shows. I remember going to Disney on Ice all the time when I was younger. I loved them! Hopefully DS will love them, too, that way I can go! ;)

Thanks for the review - we are taking DD and a couple friends to see it at Hershey, PA Giant Stadium. She decided on doing that instead of having a party with her friends for her 7th birthday.

Pittsburgh is usually in Feb. It is not listed on the web site yet.

In the past when the shows have been different, we would go visit a friend in Maryland and go to the show. This time, it is playing when we are in Disney.
