Our library is doing a thing where they give away free Disney on Ice tickets if kids read 5 books. One of the times fit into our schedule and I was thinking about taking DD (3 in May) and DSD (10 in May). I would have to take the 6 month old too. I was wondering if this is going to be more hassle than it's worth. The little ones sat pretty nicely through their first movie this past weekend but I'm not sure if that is comparable.

My DD had just turned 3 when we took her to Disney on Ice for the first time and she did great! She was so excited about seeing all of the characters there, it's different than sitting in a movie. So I think she would do fine, not sure if the 6 month old would sit through it easily but the older ones will most likely really enjoy it! :)

We took DD and DS back in November. She was 2 1/2 and DS was about 8 months. They both did great. She loved it and sat on DH's lap the whole time.

DOI is great! A lot more entertaining than a movie. I think your kids would enjoy it and if they get anxious, just leave! :)

We went in Feb with our 2.5, 4.5, and 6.5 year olds. The 2.5 year old seemed to love it the most of all of them. She was mesmerized! Makes me so excited for our upcoming trip!!

DD(8) was just shy of 3 when we saw Nemo on Ice. She still remembers it and can describe several parts in vivid detail. It definitely made an impression on her!

it may seem like a hassle, but it is totally WORTH IT! esp if you have free tickets for them. :thumbsup2

I took DS in january to see Toy Story on Ice (was part of his cousin's bday party) and he had just turned 2. I was expecting disaster, but he absolutely loved! He didn't even know what Toy Story was and he was totally hooked. By the end he got a little ansy (especially after waiting through intermission), but he definitely loved it! (and now he loves toy story!!!)

We went with another family whose son was 2 at the time.
The loud noise really scared the little guy. I thought we would have to leave. A very kind usher lent the family his ear phones. He saved the day!! We enjoyed the rest of the show, no problem.

If you suspect your children have noise sensitivity, be prepared with headphones:thumbsup2
