Character Dining Change in Disney World

Since Tusker House reopened, the characters have all stayed pretty far away from the guests. But today, all of that was different! When Donald Duck entered the room, there was no overhead announcement telling guests to stay in their seats. In fact, Donald (and his attendant) called guests up by table to take pictures and say hello.



Like the other character meet and greets in Disney World right now, you could get pretty close to the characters (maybe 6 feet away), although you still can’t hug them or ask for autographs.

Space 220 Lounge Advance Dining Reservations Now Available

Disney is offering Space 220 Lounge advance dining reservations in addition to traditional restaurant reservations. It doesn’t look like reservations are available to make via the My Disney Experience app, but it has been added to the Disney World website: Space 220 Lounge Reservations

I was able to make one for a 6:30 dinner on 12/08. Hooray!

ugh lucky, trying for anytime on the 3rd or 8th and nothing oh well gonna have to try for my April trip instead

I feel so selfish but the one thing I wish would come back is hugging character. I know their safety is MORE IMPORTANT than my hug, but man I miss seeing my kids face when she hugs Mickey or her favorite princess.

Congrats! Trying for 9th or 11th - nothing yet.

I am arriving Saturday and have been trying for Chef Mickey's on the 10th for breakfast ever since we were able to make a reservation. No luck yet!

I don't think so. Just looks like they are putting in new concrete where you come down the stairs.

Walt Disney World is About to Get Its Own Official Florida Holiday!

According to Click Orlando, Orange County, Florida is set to declare December 3rd “Walt Disney World Day.”

Additional Fireworks Dessert Party Dates Have Been Added in Disney World

More dates have been added to the Magic Kingdom 50th Fireworks dessert parties! Previously, Disney’s website wouldn’t let you book past January 21st, 2022. But now, we have dates all the way through the end of January.

Smoke, Possible Fire Shuts Down Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios


The incident reportedly occurred around 2:30pm, and a call was placed to 911 for a fire at Disney’s Hollywood Studios around that time. It’s unknown if there were any injuries.
