Horse Drawn Carriage Rides returning to Port Orleans Riverside in February

On February 4, 2022, guests can once again relax on a carriage ride around the resort. You’ll board your carriage for a 25-minute ride at the Riverside Levee Marina at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. Carriages fit up to 4 adults (or 2 adults and 3 small children). Each ride costs $55 plus tax.

I’m hopeful Lightyear gets a theatrical release… but yeah, not a good streak for Pixar films lately.

Pixar has definitely lost it's spark. Soul seemed empty, if they had included some memories of his family and students when he was looking back at his life I feel that would have set up some more character development. Would Edgar Allen Poe's life looked just as empty? He was penniless pretty much his whole life because copyright wasn't a thing despite how celebrated he is now.

Encanto missed the mark because it's pacing was all over the place and the set up was super cinderellesque with plot holes and unanswered questions. The animation for the songs was fabulous and 'We don't talk about Bruno' is super catchy but I couldn't tell you what any of the other songs were.

Haven't seen Luca because any movies with a lot of social awkwardness stresses DD to the point of tears. Have they had any others?

Pixar has only released 2 films since March 2020. Soul, and Luca, both of which went to Disney+ with Soul getting that window of premier access. Turning Red is their third straight to head directly to Disney+.

Encanto was done by the Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Soul was a Disney + original movie it might of had a limited theatrical run at the El Cap or international markets

I know Luca did a brief run exclusively at El Cap in domestic markets

I’d like to think turning red going this route is more due to it being set in Canada and the Canadian theaters currently closed down again

multiverse of madness is the next film on Disneys slate in May… let’s see where that lands

Only based on the trailers ... Turning Red looks very 'cookie-cutter' to me and doesn't seem to do much to distinguish itself from previous Pixar work. I wonder if Disney is feeling it's just middle of the road from an interest standpoint and better to use it as D+ promotion to save on the big theatrical promotional costs

I think Soul was one of the 1st films to fall victim to COVID as it was set for theatrical when everything started hitting the fan

Actually, Onward got shut down early when the theaters closed in March 2020. We saw it a day or 2 before everything shut down here. So many people were hacking in the theater, probably due to allergies though. It was a little nerve wracking.

Genie+ Wish Revoked: Select Attractions Move Back to Pay-As-You-Go Model

Following a change made for the busy holiday season, three attractions have moved from the Genie+ bucket of attractions back to Individual Lightning Lane status.

Space Mountain, Frozen Ever After, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Expedition Everest are now a la carte attractions. Expedition Everest is closed for refurbishment and excluded from the list.
Maybe this will happen again for spring break 🤞🏻
