Let me say after reading so many reviews, both negative and positive, I did not know what to expect from food at Disney. I was actually pleasantly surprised overall, with only a few negatives.

So, out first meal was at Chefs De France for lunch. Unfortunately, my daughter accidentally deleted all the photos from that morning/afternoon at Epcot and lost the photos of out food, and of adorable Remy. He came to our table twice and I was completely charmed.

I ordered the Prix Fixe (Soupe A l oignon Gratinee, Gratin de macaroni and Profiterolles au Chocolat) and my daughters both ordered Quiche Lorraine and Profiterolles au Chocolat. Everything here was outstanding. Our waiter (Michel - not sure about the spelling) was excellent and the atmosphere relaxed. I absolutely loved this restaurant.

For Dinner we ate at Le Cellier. I liked it a lot but for two table service credits I probably will not go back. It was good, but not THAT good. I ordered the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup and loved it so much I got the recipe. The pretzel bread was ok, I don't know why everyone raves about it. We liked the other breads far better. We all got the Canadian Prime New York Strip Steak, which was delicious. For desert, I ordered the Maple Creme Brulee, and my daughters ordered the Lemon Cheesecake and the Chocolate Trio. I did not care for the Brulee. The girls both loved their desserts.

Our second day started off with breakfast at Crystal Palace. Honestly, although I enjoyed the characters A LOT, the food here was just not that good. The only thing I truly enjoyed was the fruit (melon, fresh pineapple) with the strawberry yogurt. Everything else was just meh. I won't come back here.

And this is not food, but I just love cuddly, huggable ole Pooh Bear

Dinner that night was at Ohana's. The only word I can think of when I think about Ohana is... Yummm. This was hands down my favorite meal. The only thing I did not care for was the shrimp. It was hard to peel and then once I had it peeled, it had a fishy flavor. Everything else was to die for. I do wish the waiter had taken the time to explain what the sauces were. We did not know which sauce was supposed to go with what, so we randomly tried them all, and they were all pretty awesome.

It all started with this: (not food, but if you are over 21 it should be mandatory to have one of these if you visit the Poly)

And then Salad (what is in this dressing? It was soooo good) :

And then these awesome noodles and broccoli and plate after plate of skewered chicken, pork and beef deliciousness:

And finally, pure heaven. This desert deserves all the hype:

The next day we grabbed lunch at Starring Rolls. The Turkey sandwiches were good (we ate them and realized we forgot to take pics) but the cupcakes everyone raves about? The look way better than they taste. I found the frosting to be too rich and the cake dry. None of us could finish them. They were definitely a thumbs down.

Dinner that night was at 50's Prime Time Cafe. I was hesitant about this place because I saw lots of negative reviews. Hogwash I say. The food here was so delicious we dug in without taking pictures. We did remember to get pics of Dad's Brownie Sundae and my Electric Lemonade though.

My youngest (who is 10) was feeling punchy and wanted food from the kids menu. She got a boring Hot Dog. My older daughter and I had the:
A sampling of Mom's favorite recipes - Crispy fried chicken, fork tender pot roast and traditional meatloaf with all the fixins. Everything was just awesome (although I hate collard greens and hid them in a napkin because "Uncle Tim" was really getting on everybody about not eating their veggies. I did eat my green beans though, so I didn't feel TOO guilty. :lmao:)

And here is me (It was humid that day, so yes I look all hot and sweaty) with "Uncle Tim". He was an amazing waiter. He made this such a fun experience my kids made me promise we will go here next time we are at Disney.

The next day we ate only quick service. No pics because honestly, how exciting is quick service?

We ate at Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom. The Pizza was fair, but I did like that we got a salad with it. And it's cute and colorful. And air conditioned. The only reason I would not eat here again is because we all hated Animal Kingdom. We won't go back to that park again.

We ate at Gasparillas for dinner and spend the evening at the resort swimming. My kids loved the burgers there. Again, I don't understand all the complaints about the multi-grain buns. They really are not bad at all. The grilled chicken sandwich was pretty good as well. I liked Gasparillas enough that we ate her a few times.

We used a fair amount of our snack credits on these bad boys:

Breakfast the next morning was at the Grand Floridian Cafe. This is a lovely place and our food was really good. We got Mickey Waffles. The kids got Sunshine Punch (which was really good) and I got my caffeine fix.

And that about covers our experience with food at Disney. Oh! Wait, I forgot! We tried the Yorkshire Fish and Chips because everyone raves about it and we kept seeing long lines. I don't know why. It was pretty gross. I felt like I was eating pure grease, but that's just me. I don't get it. I really don't. I can say I am REALLY glad we only ordered one to share between the three of us because I could never have choked down a whole order of this nastiness myself. My arteries are hardening just thinking about it.

Thanks for sharing these great reviews and pictures, I am about one week out and have been changing and rechanging my dining plans daily!

I hope you booked Ohana. I will be dreaming of the day I can wolf down those wings, potstickers and bread pudding again. And I wouldn't mind a Lapu Lapu (or two ;)) again either.

Great reviews and pictures :goodvibes

I totally agree with you on 'Ohana; even as someone who doesn't eat meat this was one of our fave meals on our last trip :thumbsup2
