Disney Netbook

I'm just wondering if anyone has ordered the Disney netbook yet? If so, have you received it? I'm thinking about getting my kids these for Christmas but would like a review on them.

I currently have the Disney dream machine and love it.

Only the Netpal wiht the 16GB SSD is out right now and unless it is truly for your kids, then I wouldn't get one. I looked at it for a long time and ended up getting the Asus 1005HA and desinging my own skin for it (I posted it on the community board)

I really wanted the Disney one but after reading all the reviews and closer inspection of it, I decide to go with a grown-up versiona nd customize it myself. I can download Disney backgrounds and widgets myself and intall them. I can even change all of my icons to disney stuff if I wanted to.

I got a refurbished small Asus 701SD when it was on slickdeals a few weeks ago and I am very impressed with the quality. I think Asus, the co that makes the Disney Version has something going for them, I'd say get the Disney versions if you want them.

If you really want the Disney one, wait for the 160 Gb hard drive one to come out, unless you really thing you'll be dropping it. To lose so much room in the computer is a lot of space.

I want to get one for my 4 yr old. The whole point of the netpal compare to other netbook is the Disney interface. Just slapping on a disney wallpaper and icons for the website just isn't the same. It's the dual boot (disney interface and regular boot) is what makes it useful. IMHO. The dell mini nickelodeon looks like a better buy, but that's more like a regular netbook and the interface is not as user friendly for kids than the netpal.
