I thought it would be fun if people posted myths and legends about the Disney parks (or just Disney) they have heard

for example .... The plane from the Great Movie Ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios OR from the Jungle Cruise at Disney's Magic Kingdom is the same one that was used in the famous final scene of the classic 1942 film, Casablanca
or
Walt Disney's body lies cryogenically frozen in a secret chamber buried beneath Disney's Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.

They say that a woman took the ashes of her dead son and spread them through HM, even though Disney told her not to. People have said theve sighted his ghost near the end of the ride eating a mickey bar and and wearing an mickey ears.

At the late night.........when the gates have closed......any guests who stayed are eaten by IT's a small world dolls, after they come to life, still singing! AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! So yeah, I think I heard that one.

The only official legend I know is the Walt's cryogenically frozen body one.

Not sure if this is an actual myth, but there's supposedly an apartment over the firehouse on Main Street, USA. Though this most likely was just something made up for those books by Ridley Pearson.

I've heard he's been seen crying at the exit but does it really matter? :confused3
In other ghostly news, the Haunted Mansion in WDW is supposedly haunted by "the man with the cane", who supposedly crashed his plane in Bay Lake a while before the park opened.

There is in Disneyland, but not in WDW.

There is supposedly the bride's wedding ring embedded in the pavement along the exit to HM.

actually, originally, it was the remnants of a support that used to hold up a pole :rotfl:. Then people kept saying it was the bride's ring. Now, there's an actual ring in the ground, but yeah, just thought I'd throw that out there

And if you stand on it on the night of a full moon and say leota 5 times, she appears in a window in the mansion.

or you could just look at the windows of the mansion every night to see ghosts.

No creepy chanting required...

I've heard that on Space Mtn. people thought that the astroids were really pictures of chocolate chip cookies but Disney has oficially denied this. I kinda wish they were!:)

More creepy mansion stuff:

-a guy once fell through a slot in the floor between the track in and the leota scene during a Grad Nite. He's supposed to haunt the mansion.
-Supposedly during building, it sounded like there was a radio on that was wired into a wall. Only there were never any commercial breaks. So the builders just put music over it to muffle it out.
-It's rumored the Leota scene does not properly shut down, or that she's called the names of people that work there :scared1:

My last fun fact:
there is supposedly a shadowy figure who haunts the ToT at WDW. He's only seen after hours, and is always walking the wrong way, and disappears when called at. My guess if he is legit, that he is in ghost hunter terms, a "residual haunt" or in simple terms he's like a tape recording, playing over and over again, and doesn't realize what he's doing, because he can't interact with you. My guess would be, since Disney brought in antique furniture to make the ToT look more realistic, he was spiritually "attached" to a piece of furniture, but I'm just specualting. I have more stories, but this post is already long enough.

There was a CM who died in POTC and every night before the last CM leaves they have to say Good bye *name iv'e forgot* Or there is something wrong in the attraction the next morning.

it's George.

Also, one or two women "it's disputed) were supposedly killed when a light boat went down the hill and into these steel things that poke out of the water...I forget their purpose, but it has something to do with the ride going from under the RR and into the show building.

Thanks. And there was a CM who was killed in CoP by the revolving theater. That's it.
