Good advice. I know that when I moved from BC to POR, I didn't do that. It was hotter than the hinges of 'you know where' and the humidity was about 95%!! We had been told, at BC, that our bags would be at POR by 2-3pm...when we handed them over at 7:15am. We went off to MK, stayed until about lunchtime and then left due to the heat and the crowds. We got to POR about 2ish...we had been assigned a room in the way back of the resort but they changed us to bldg 14 which is very close to the food court/bus stop. But, the room wasn't ready yet. Our bags hadn't arrived either. So, we wandered around for a bit....really hot and miserable. We checked on the room again about 3:30 and found it was ready. At least we had someplace cool to be. Again, no bags. So Luggage Assistance at POR called over to BC to find out where the bags were. "Oh, we haven't had time to move bags yet today. We've been swamped." Really? This was a Thursday, not a Sat, when people would be checking in in droves!!! BC told POR that they would get 'right on it'. Okay....another hour goes by..no bags. It is now 4:45. All we want to do is swim and go get dinner. Luggage Assistence called us and told us that they had called BC again....they still hadn't moved our bags!!! About 40 mins later, close to 5:30, and our bags finally got there. When I tried to tip the wonderful CM from Luggage Assistence for all that he had done on our behalf, he refused the tip. He said that there was no way he was taking a tip when we had had such a miserable experience. Really?? Who ever heard of that happening. I wrote out a note explaining all this and left it for the manager. Hopefully something went into that CMs file.
