Disney Movie Club - GRRRR!!!!

Any other DISer's have trouble with the Disney Movie Club? For the third time now, I've sent back the card stating I did NOT want any titles...yet they sent the featured ones anyway. I mail the card back the day after I receive the packet. I return them, then get a letter stating how I need to send back the card, etc, etc. So frustrating! I'm ready to quit it altogether.
 
Have you tried declining the selection online at DMC? Thats what I do and have not had any issues.
 
I also use the website and never had any problems...until this last month when I did say I didn't want it and they shipped it anyway. :rolleyes:
 
I feel your pain. As much as I love Disney movies, I quit the club because of issues like this and just general poor customer service. The website is marginally better, but I still had enough problems with them that I chose to quit altogether. I hope you can get your issues resolved.
 

I use the website and haven't ever had a problem. I even called once because my movie skipped and they sent a new one without me having to return the other one. So I've had good customer service so far, but I knew how frustrating these things can be. Maybe try calling CS and telling them of your issues? Godd luck!
 
I use the website - every once in a while the login doesn't work or I get a technical difficulty, but 95% of the time it works great. They have sent me movies before that I had declined. I called them and told them about it, and they told me to keep them - no charge. I was pretty happy about that. :) That was my only glitch. Now that I have written this post - Murphey's Law says that I am now going to have a plethora of problems. ;)
 
With all my heart - I believe that these "mistakes" are done on purpose.
They make a lot more money when people forget to return the card, or they can say they didn't get the card back. And THEN ... once you get the item you didn't want - many people don't bother sending it back because of the hassle. It's a scheme.

Columbia House was infamous for this kind of crap. I just hate to hear that a Disney Company is doing this, too.
 
Thanks everyone! I feel better knowing it's not just me, LOL!! I have also used the website and still gotten the shipment. I have one more movie to buy to fulfill my committment - then I will be quitting it.

I completely agree. I am not a member of any such company anymore for this very reason.
 
It's not just you. My daughter has been a member for years, and here lately, when she sends the card back, and goes on the website to decline, she gets it anyway. They sent her a letter the other day, that stated she is in danger of losing her membership for not responding to them...very frustrating !!!!
 
I love the movie club. I fulfilled my obligation and they sent me another bonus of 3 movies free if I re-enrolled. I did. I always decline over the phone.

Never had a problem.
