is anyone part of the Disney Movie club??? I want to be part of the blue ray club and ia keep getting mail from them so today I went online to put in my order and The cast member said it is only open to U.S guests. I was reading on there website it is open to Canadian's too. Has anyone done this or had problems doing this????

I'm a member! The movies ship from Fort Erie, Ont.

Thank you Dis board for all your help but I wanted the Blue ray club not the dvd club.

I'm a member as well and I have Blu-ray as my preference. My director's choice and disney double features that are sent to me are for blu-ray.Talk to a rep, they'll fix you up.

There is no difference. Its just a preference you pick. I was originally DVD, then i bought my blu-ray so now my defaults are blu-ray

I contacted them and they said I can order regualr dv's first than they will send me blue rays. But I don't wanna buy the movie twice and I don't own a dvd player just a blue ray player.

Curious as to what the shipping costs are for the Disney Movie Club. Also, when new DVD/Blu-rays are released, how soon are they on the 'list' ie. how long before you get that blu-ray disc?

Good morning!!

sjsjbrook - you could always buy them and then sell them to a friend (don't know if I'm allowed to say that) or give them away as gifts. I don't think they do the initial buy 5 for a deal with the blue-rays because they would lose money...blu-rays are still way too pricey.

Debbie - shipping and processing is $4.95 for the first title in each order, and $2.95 for each additional title in that same order - typically DVD's/Blue-rays new releases are offered as a "pre-order" so they are available before anyone else has them, but they take 3-4 weeks to arrive at your door once they are in-stock :confused3

Is there any benefit to joining the club other than the initial free dvds? Theres usually great sales at the stores when new DVD's come out, we've been picking up the dvd/bluray combo packs for $19.99. What are the prices like through the club?

Other than the initial DVD's, I've gotten a free blue-ray on my birthday and on their anniversary in April this year I get another free blue-ray.
Their new release combo packs are good too - the last one was the Sorcerer's Apprentice Blue-ray/DVD combo pack with National Treasure Collector's Edition on Blue-ray and a 3-D Card for $49.95 and every blue-ray/DVD after that, on that same order, is 33% off.
Apparently it gets better once your commitment is complete but I still have one more to buy:)
The prices are higher than what you find in stores but it's more of the buy 2 get something free or like the $20 Blue-ray sale on select blue-rays or buy one and get all other DVD's or Blue-rays at 33% off (of course these deals can not be combined - it's one deal per order).

I have completed by commitment and there are a lot of buy 1 get the rest at 50% deals. Sometimes there are $20 blu-rays amongst other choices. If you decide to do it, get a member to send you a referral link. That member will then get a free movie.
