So we're going on an 8 night very Merrytime cruise during Thanksgiving week. Does anyone know what special holiday activities they have? Is the ship decorated? Are the characters dressed in holiday costumes? Also we will be in port canaveral on thanksgiving day so I'm assuming almost the entire ship (including us) will be using our included WDW park hopper. Will anything special be done on the ship?

Well, I think the 8 night cruise is new this year. But you can look up Navigators from previous years for an idea of what sorts of activities have been done in the past.

I would think, since the Port Canaveral day is typically an "everyone off the ship" port, there won't be very much special that day. The last bus back from the parks won't be back until close to midnight.

Thanks. Any info would be appreciated

We did a 7-night Merrytime over Thanksgiving last year on the Fantasy, but it was a sea day on Thanksgiving so . . . very different for you. No visit to WDW for us. :) Since it was a Merrytime there were all the holiday activities but specific to Thanksgiving there wasn't very much - Mickey dressed up as a Pilgrim for pictures (the only character I recall dressed for Thanksgiving) and a Thanksgiving-themed menu in the MDR and that was about it. All the decor is Christmas themed since it's a Merrytime cruise - nothing autumnal for Thanksgiving. Hope this helps!
