Disney Marathon. Is it a busy time?

Booked a vacation starting Jan 13. Just read that Disney has a marathon that day. Does anybody know how it affects the crowds during this time?

YES! YES! YES! We always go in Jan and we are SO happy the it is a week later this year! The crowds are heavier and parts of each park are closed off for the runners to run though. For example in Epcot if you are at Sorin' and want to get to test track you will have to wait in a LONG line to get across the path of the runners. (there is a CM there letting a few people past every time there is a break in the runners)

Does anybody know the time and the route for the race? I dont get there until Sunday around noon. Hopefully the parks settle down the followind days. I wish I had known I would have gone the week before.

We are arriving on the 13th too!!!! The parks should be fine Mon-Thur. Since the following weekend is MLK, the crowds will pick up on Friday. There is always something going on at WDW so we never worry about it.
