Disney Management Internships

Has anyone done a management internship before? I am applying this fall for the spring internships and would love any and all advice to help me get it!

I did a management internship. My path was a little different than most, however, due to the economic crisis a few years ago.

The important part is to be confident and personable in the interview. I highly recommend joining Toastmasters International and practicing with "Table Topics". While they aren't exactly interview questions, they help you build your interviewing skills with impromptu subjects and time limits. You also learn to control your fillers (i.e. "um", "ah") You will be asked situational or "tell me a time" questions, so try to envision those possibilities and jot down some notes of high points or challenges from other jobs you've held.

The big takeaway, though, is to remember a very large number of people apply for a very limited number of roles, so don't take it as a failure if you don't get to move on in the interview process. It's also a nerve-wracking waiting game (if you did the CP and thought THAT was bad! ). Think positively, imagine yourself in the position, and approach your interview with confidence.

What Gray said! And make sure that if you have any connections at WDW, as far as old area managers, leaders and such, you let them know you will be applying. Also, if you are on property, start your meet and greets. Depending on your line of business depends on who you meet, but start them now and treat everyone as an interview. It is good practice and critical for most of the applicants if you don't have a lot of experience.
