How is the Magic splash area for a 2 year old? We will be sailing on the Magic and we would like to know if there is a variety of things to do on the pool deck with our 2 year old daughter. She loves to splash in the water. We were on the Wonder last year and remember the splash area was a lot of fun for her. How does the Magic splash area compare?

The Mickey pool is almost identical on the Magic and the Wonder :) Your 2 year old will love it!

Aww, no more Mickey pool :( Will they be doing the same thing to the Wonder this fall?
No word yet. But, most likely will be done at some point. I believe that's one of the changes that requires the duck tail to be added, and the Wonder won't fit through the Panama Canal with a new duck tail. So, until it's confirmed that the new locks are open and running, DCL probably won't make any of the changes that require the addition.

The splash area on the magic is not impressive. My daughter loved it at 15 months but I think at 2 it would not hold her attention for very long. the nemo's reef splash area on the fantasy (I think the dream is similar) is a different story...we were in there for at least an hour everyday. We recently got back from our second magic cruise (dd 2.75) and she did not give the splash area a second look. We were in the mickey pool the whole time...it's super shallow. I would recommend working on potty training so she can go in mickey pool and Aqua lab.

My daughter still loved that area at 2.75, so we thought it was great.

It is not as impressive as the one on the Dream, but that also makes it great for little ones, since bigger kids don't go in. I didn't see any kids over 4-5 in there on the magic, but on the dream there were lots of 10 year olds.

It looks like there is 2 areas. Nephews splash zone and the aqua lab?

With the Magic being ReImagined, Are there some noticeable differences from the Wonder???

Yes. The atrium was changed; the kid's club changed; Parrot Cay became Cariocas; AquaDunk was added; lost the secret deck on deck 7; Diversions became O'Gills. Just for starters.

Is your 2 year old toilet trained? The only place you can wear swim diapers on the magic is in the Nephew's Splash Zone. We sailed on the magic when my youngest DS was 1.5 years and then again when he was 2.5 years. Nephew's Splash Zone is pretty small, just a bunch of fountains squirting up from the floor. It's in a glass enclosed area with a door. DS brought his sand bucket up there and had fun filling the bucket with water and then dumping it out, but that's about it. It held his attention for about 25 minutes, and DH and I were bored out of our minds. Because it's in an enclosed glass area, there's nowhere to sit and relax while they play.
He couldn't play in the Aqua Lab because you couldn't wear swim diapers there, but Aqua Lab is actually too much water squirting everywhere for a toddler anyway (at least for mine).
I had to distract him because he really wanted to go in the pool with his big brother.
