How bad are the cameras mounted on the verandahs of stateroom 5150 or 5650 on the Magic? Does anyone have experience staying in one of these rooms and what was your opinion of the cameras? Did that ruin your verandah experience? Also, does anyone know if the verandah opens up to connect with the room next door?

I don't have answers to your questions but I have thought about booking this room on the Wonder several times (it always seems to be available when I look). I have found very little information about these rooms so I'm curious too. I'm also wondering if the verandah feels larger or if the shape negates the extra space. Hopefully someone who has stayed in one of these rooms will chime in.

I do believe the verandah will be deeper allowing for more space, which is definitely a benefit if you have more than 2 people in your room. Just not sure if that camera affects the view... especially for taking pictures.

Stayed in 5650. Camera is mounted to the back wall and does not obstruct the view, unless you are looking toward the back. Facing the water or looking forward would be totally unobstructed. This is not a connecting room so do not recall seeing any walls that could be removed. I did not love the fact that there was a camera but this die not "ruin" my experience. There are several benefits of this room, one of which being that this is probably one of the quietest area of the ship - except during diner time as you are right above Animator's Palate. It is very close to the BV theatre and Oceaneer's Club and the nursery
