Goodness! Everyone must have had a busy Monday!!!

I did some puttering around the house. Baskets are a wonderful thing! They keep and hold our stuff until we need it, and no one knows it's there! And sometimes, we hide stuff in those baskets for SO long, that WE don't know it's there! LOL I have done some purging today!

I have also started a project. I have a tote in each of the boy's closets that have school papers in them from over the years. Then in the office, I have a stack of school photos and report cards. Soooo, on Oprah a few weeks ago, there was a woman on there that made a memory box for each of her kids and in it, she put these papers, plus other memories...like a hunk of her daughter's carpet or wallpaper from her son's room. The memory box that she had looked like a large wooden treasure chest. I may get something like that eventually, but tonight I got just a plastic file box to start the organizing process. The boys were funny as I sorted through photos and papers! I'll also put in the standardized testing scores and flyers from things like band concerts and football games. I hope the boxes will be big enough! Unfortunelty, I bought letter size instead of legal sized haning files, so I'll have to go back to the store tomorrow to get the right ones. Then I'll date them by the school year and file away the memories!!

I have also decided that if Jennifer doesn't take me back...which the more people I talk to, the more I am starting to think I don't have a job.....I am starting to believe that maybe this is a sign that I need to be HERE, raising MY Family and not her's. Maybe we'll be strapped financially, maybe I can make some changes for us that will help to ease that. Maybe, in 6 months, I'll realize that I'll have to go back to work....maybe I won't. For now, it's time to focus on OUR family. And yes, I am toying with the idea of just telling her, I quit.

Sounds like maybe that may be the best thing for you right now!

I started that same project with my kids and file boxes a few years ago. Yeah, haven't put a darn thing in them since LOL. Of course the older they get the less stuff I keep. No more cutesy art project and stuff at their age.

Alexa is being drama queen yet again. This week she is doing a 1 week drama program of Pinocchio. She is a vermin, Ferret. That is every night this week with 3 performances on Friday and Saturday. Next week she starts Beauty and The Beast. She is townsperson/Napkin #7. That is 3-4 nights a week from now until the first weekend in April. She'll have choir Monday, Piano Wed and the play T, Th and Friday. I think I should have some white and yellow checkers put on the side of my car, along with a sign on the top that lights up and says Taxi.

you have a big job ahead of you Michele! but sorting through all those things is fun and relaxing! that's what I'm sort of doing myself right now, going through boxes and boxes of things I have collected over the years and throwing things out that I know I wont miss. Enjoy your time now with your boys and if it was meant to be you'll be working again soon! Either way I'm sure things will work out for the best:goodvibes
