I thought Clayton did a good job, but to me, he lacked that something special that previous CDs had. And when Clayton would come on the loud speaker, he'd speak non-stop for what seemed like 10 minutes straight without stopping. I told my husband that Clayton must have great lung capacity!

Like the rest of the cruise industry. Individual 3Mo (rare), 6Mo (normal) or 1y (also rare) contracts. He was on the Magic in late June, but he might back after an late-summer break. The only one who can know if he's going to be there is the man himself (or HR )

Clayton is the best, he is the first CD we had way back in 2008, and still nobody compares.

We had Clayton on our 10/15 sailing out of NYC, he was awesome!

Actually it depends which department you're talking about. For departments like entertainment, 3-4 month contracts are normal and 6 months are rare. For places like the spa 9 month contracts are normal and anything less is rare...

He was on my flight to Barcelona for the Transatlantic and started his current CD duties on the cruise after the TA cruise...so since October. December looks good for him to be CD.

Oh thank you so much for this- great info! I will be so excited if it works out . This will be our second and likely last DCL for a long while (college expenses - ugh). So I'm eager for it to be a great one! I know it will be no matter who the CD is but Clayton is so legendary!

I had read great things about Clayton on these boards and TBH I felt the same as you. Much preferred Brent on the Magic a couple years ago or Ray on the Fantasy last year.
