Did that scene with his dad not remind you of Walt introducing Epcot?

It must be intentional. DH was ready to smack me because I kept making comments about it. :lmao:

YEp. And the song that played about the future (during the credits) was written by Richard Sherman.

We saw it at the IMAX and DH noticed on the way home that the 'you complete me' scene from the preview was missing. Was it in the regular movie?

It was supposed to. As a PP said, the song ("Make Way for Tomorrow Today") was written by Richard Sherman, who also said the song was a nod to his song for the Carousel of Progress.

I started laughing when I saw the footage of Tony's dad doing the intro for the Stark Expo (in 1974) - because it was just like the footage from Walt talking about Epcot.

We noticed it was missing as well. Too bad - very funny line!

We just saw it today and DH noticed it too. Btw, our DS7 LOVED the movie and was on the edge of his seat a few times.

Did any of you stay past the credits to see the preview?

It is supposed to be one of the deleted scenes that will (almost certainly) be on the DVD.

I'm a little more upset that there is no official soundtrack - the only "soundtrack" is the AC/DC one, which, while I like, only has a couple songs that were in the movie. I want a copy of "Make Way for Tomorrow Today", dangnabbit!

I stayed for the end as well. Some people left, about half remained. That's another film I am waiting to see.

(And, for the record, right now, Captain America is supposed to be released on July 22, 2011 - I wonder why they didn't choose another day, like, I don't know, July 4th?!)

yes. I was surprised how many left.

We went to a small theater that shows only 4 movies ($5 movies every weekend :thumbsup2). There weren't too many people at the showing we were at today, but only one other couple stayed besides us. DH saw it with a co-worker last week (IMAX) and gave DS7 and I a "heads-up" about it. He didn't tell us what it was about.

I just figured it was pretty obvious since there was one for the first movie. On the other hand, DH and I ALWAYS stay just in case, since we rarely go to movies in the theater.

The Disney reference was cute. Even my 8 and 13 year old picked up on it. We thought that would be a good idea for a fifth park now that Disney has the rights to Marvel - the Stark Expo! :lmao:

We stayed to the end as well - DH knew about the extra scene, but even if he hadn't, the last movie had one, so we would have stayed in case. DD was disappointed by it because she has no idea who the referenced character is.
