Probably because crowds are too low.

It's like they love those 2 hour 7dmt and 4 hour FOP lines and don't want to see them dip... if it was really about GMR and UoE the could restrict the parks. Attendance is definitely the reasoning.

I had the exact same thought. If this was really about those 2 rides, they would only be giving access to those 2 parks.

I think Orlando is probably a miserable place to be in August. There's more interesting stuff in October-December. With kids getting a fall break it's probably a no brainer just to wait until the fall or winter.

I'm guessing the fact that attendance is reported to be down had something to do with it too.

Disney thinks they are so sneaky; too bad they can't admit what the real reason is.
