In addition to its new Pixar parade, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will welcome another attraction in the first quarter of 2011. “Disney Junior – Live on Stage!” will replace “Playhouse Disney – Live on Stage!” in Animation Courtyard.

The stage show’s March debut follows the launch of Disney Junior, a Disney Channel brand devoted to children ages 2 to 7 that is being promoted across the many Disney platforms.

“Disney Junior – Live on Stage!” introduces Jake from “Jake and The Never Land Pirates,” which begins airing in February. Jake leads his band of kid pirates — Cubby and Izzy, along with their faithful pirate parrot, Skully — on adventures that require them to use teamwork. “Jake and The Never Land Pirates” will take the place of the Winnie the Pooh segment.

“Disney Junior – Live on Stage!” also brings back three audience favorites: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny and Little Einsteins.

When they were younger, my children loved this interactive puppet show. The high-energy hosts lead the kids in singing and dancing, and being surprised by streamers and bubbles is lots of fun for toddlers and preschoolers.
