Lorapinky,
Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. Yes, you are right that September definitely is a "slower" attendance time of the year at Disney. The kids have all gone back to school, so the parks and hotels are not jam-packed like they are other times of the year.
Regarding the weather, it can somewhat depend on if you are getting married in early, mid or late September. The afternoon rainshowers tend to get less frequent the later in September you go. Also, the temperature and humidity levels drop off a bit the last week in September. (FYI the "autumn-like" weather
finally appears the 3rd or 4th week of October - sometimes not even until November!).
Don't get me wrong, it still rains A LOT in Orlando during the month of September, but you can minimize the chances of getting rained on if you pick a date later in the month versus earlier. And, of course, you can further minimize your chances by picking a ceremony time that's earlier in the day.
But, just remember, in the end it's all up to Mother Nature. If she wants to make it rain at 11 a.m. on the last day of September, then it will happen! You just can't let the rain spoil the most special day of your life at Disney!
Hope that I've helped you a bit. Good luck! I'm sending pixie dust your way so that it won't rain on your big day!
