Hello to all,

I am a new ebayer....and I think I am doing fairly well. I am trying to keep my shipping costs as low as possible and have been selling a variety of items just to see what happens. I have a few very nice Disney items that are in Excellent condition, but I am not sure if they would be good ebay things and if they are I have no idea what to start the bid out as. Any advice would be greatly appreciated from all of you experts!! :) :)

1. Professionally framed and matted Winnie the Pooh Four Seasons LIthographs. This is a set of four seperate lithographs depicting winter, spring, summer and fall. I bought them for my daughter's bed room when she was a baby. I had them professionally framed and matted as one picture.

2. Disney Store Cinderella Piano - Barely touched in fact I still have the box and it is in perfect working order.

3. Jasmine and Cinderella wigs from Disney Store. Both have been worn for one halloween , but are in great shape.

4. A little girl's Disney Store Jane Wallet. perfect condition

5. A Disney Store Large Doll Trunk - Again this item is in perfect condition.

6. I have two beautiful Rugged Bear Winter Ski Coats, like new.

thanks for any input!!!

They sound like great ideas to me, but I am still new at eBaying myself.

Two main things... take the best pictures you can -- they really are worth 1000 words -- and do a search for your items to see if any are up there right now, how many bids they have, and what they're selling for. Also go back to the search screen and check the box for "Completed Items" to see what similar auctions have finished at in the past.

Good luck!

Have you tried browsing completed auctions on Ebay? I just browsed for the Jane wallet, and saw a completed auction for a Jane wallet that did not sell for $1.00. The Jasmine wig recently sold for $6.50. It's fun to browse completed auctions, plus it gives you ideas on how to market your merchandise.

Funny....the Jane Wallet listed was mine. It was one of my first listings because it was small and easy. But nobody bid.

I could not find anything on the Pooh lithographs, piano, or the doll trunk.....so I guess I'll put them on later tonight and see how I do.

Thanks!

I have found that if I put Disney in the title of the auction it gets more views. A lot of people do blind searches for Disney items.

I have sold a lot of Disney Store clothes that my son outgrew or that I just didn't like anymore for myself. They always sell really well. :) Good Luck!

I had sold on ebay in the past and done fairly well. Right now I'm taking a break from selling, but I'll probably start up again in the near future. Anyway, what I would do with the Disney wigs is wait till the end of Sept./early Oct. to list them. Thats when people start looking for halloween items. The coats I would list in October when its time to look for winter coats and the rest I would wait until my X-mas listing, as they sound like great gifts.

I really think the best starting price should be the minimum you would accept for the item. That way you are covered.
