I have my own business making custom sugar cookies and once in a while I’ll do sales on cheesecakes, drop cookies and other desserts.

I wanted a Disney inspired name but can’t come up with one.

darlings from Kensington
backside of a bakers rack
2nd star to the right bakery
ears
cherry tree lane
Attractions, not desserts
a spoonful of sweetness

ideas that are not disney owned but have that disney fan knowledge

research spoonful of sugar....I guess disney has no right to that lyric or those business pay fees or words cannot be licensed but characters have to be licensed

What Falls Under Disney Copyright Infringement?

Any unauthorized use of Disney’s intellectual property or violation of exclusive authorship rights can count as copyright infringement. Intellectual property refers to various items that can be either trademarked or copyrighted, depending on their nature.

The table below provides the most common examples for both categories:

CopyrightTrademark
  • Movies
  • Songs
  • Literary works
  • Art including photography and digital imagery
  • Video games
  • Logos
  • Slogans

Welcome to the dis, Bcrespo.

How To Ask Disney for Copyright

If you want to use Tinker Bell’s face, as portrayed in the animated movie from 1953, on your merchandise and avoid legal action from Disney, you need to contact the company for a proper license.

A license serves as a contract that specifies how you can use copyrighted content and how much money you need to pay for it. Even though you’re willing to be charged, it doesn’t mean that Disney will approve your licensing request.

The company doesn’t disclose the licensing prices for Disney characters before you submit your request. To do so, you can follow these steps:

it can be done....search spoonful of sugar....many business with that name....or does the phrase Just a spoonful of sugar belong to disney...because all bakeries use spoonfull of sugar....interesting to see how the court took care of that problem

Ohh I kinda like spoonful of sweetness

You could be coy and allude to Disney names without blatantly using them. "Merry Pop-In Bakery" with an umbrella visual could be safe. Just avoid the tell-tale bird-headed umbrella handle.
"Perfectly Splendid" and "Practically Perfect" aren't copyrighted, I don't believe.

Or, sharpen your pun skills and see what you can come up with.

Hamburgers, anyone? Come on down to Beauty and the Beef!

Spoonful of sweetness sounds really good.
The easiest way to let your clients know about the new name is to send them slack sms (all together of course).
I noticed that most of my clients don't read the emails i send them and almost everyone reads sms.
