I've already purchased the new Disney infinity 2.0 for Christmas. Now I'm looking for additional figures. I've checked the Disney store, amazon, target, walmart and toysrus. The disney store actually is the same price as amazon, the most expensive is toysrus, about two dollars more for each figure.

Now I'm wondering if anyone knows if the figures will be on sale during or after Black Friday? I'd like to get the shopping done now, but I don't want to see them on sale later and kick myself. Thanks

I'm not sure but we just picked up Hulk for $14 with a $5 gift card back at Walmart. I think TRU is running a similar deal.

I would expect there would be deals.

I apologize for not knowing what the regular price is but I saw them today at Toys R Us on sale. They were 2 for $25. Just thought I'd share in case this is a decent price.

We are playing the Infinity 2.0, me and DD. We played all the Infinity 1.0 sets.

IF you like the playsets, more than the Toy Box, then you really want the Guardians of the Galaxy set. It is more like the original sets in the way it plays, (but we just started it.)

The Avengers "game" was disappointing (for us). But Iron Man and Thor are standouts (they fly), and surprisingly, I loved playing with Hawkeye. And you do not need to get all the characters, there does not seem to be a reason to have them all, there are no vaults to unlock, for example.

We have not tried Spiderman yet, or entered the new ToyBox 2.0 I have read that the ToyBox has many new features, and it is easier to use and is improved. Will try that at some point, but we were not really Toy Box world builders with 1.0. (maybe we will now if it is easier, we lacked the patience to learn all the tricks with the ToyBox).

Looking back, we preferred the 1.0 playsets, esp. Pirates, Incredibles, Lone Ranger, Monsters, even Toy Story. (Cars not so much)

I know you said you already purchased the base set, but for anyone who hasn't, Costco has a Marvel bundle with the base set, a Spiderman playset, and 5 additional marvel characters for $169.99 (http://www.costco.com/Disney-Infini...le-Xbox-360-Video-Game.product.100131712.html). Pricing it out vs. standard retail it seems like you save around $15 over the individual cost. They have it available for all supported gaming systems.

I've been following InfinityInquirer.com watching for deals. Nothing posted yet for Black Friday that's I've seen. Next week Target is supposed to be having a buy 2 get 1 free sale on figures.

Last year there were plenty of deals for the figures.

I think on the days leading up to Thanksgiving I was able to score the Frozen playset on Amazon (during their lighting deals for 1/2 off.)

I think a few places had a BOGO deal for individual figures. I was able to take advantage of it online via Gamestop.

My apologies for pirating the thread and getting a little OT, but can anyone tell me if the 2.0 Marvel edition and the 2.0 Toy Box edition are the same actual game software or if they're different? I don't want to buy two starter sets if the game itself is the same. I'll just load up on Marvel AND Toy Box characters.

TIA for the help!

The software is the same. The difference is that the Toy Box set with Merida and Stitch does not have a play set. If you are familiar with infinity 1.0- that involves the Crystal piece that takes you to that gaming world, instead of just the toybox area. So if you want the Marvel set to go into the Marvel world- then buy the full set and you can buy the Merida and Stitch figures separately if you would like.

Just as an FYI for anyone who might order from GameStop on BF: there was a big thread on here last year discussing all the problems people had with placing and receiving their BF online GameStop orders. I price matched their BOGO at a couple of my local Walmart stores to get the characters I wanted. I ended up returning the GS ones since they were more expensive.

If I buy the marvel set then all the figures from 2.0 & 1.0 will be playable on the new base correct? DS wants Marvel, but DD wants Merida and Stitch. We r on a tight budget so I don't want to buy both of the sets if I don't need to. I'd rather buy them the figures and discs.

they would all use the same base so no need to buy toy box and infinity 2.0. Just buy the marvel set which has both the playset AND toy box mode and buy the Merida and stitch separately.

I also woulod like to kmow if the figures coming out for 2.0 work on 1.0 and if the 1.0 figures work in 2.0?

I'm watching for deals myself. It looks like I will get the toy box starter and then buy some characters from the original so she can play the games. She isn't into Marvel at all.

So if we have the original Infinity game set with disney characters and want Marvel do we have to buy another starter kit or can we just buy the game disc and characters and use the original base?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you can just buy the game disc alone without the kit....You can however go to the nintendo eshop and they have a special for existing players(Infinity 1.0) where you can download the new software, 2.0 version, for $19.99 if you have a PS 3, 4 or Wii U, and $29.99 for xbox360. I don't think it's available for xbox one however.

We have a WiiU and I downloaded the new software last night. I didn't know before that this would be available so I bought the $75 Marvel starter pack. Now I can take that back and just buy the characters we want :cool1:

Plus after you purchase the digital copy, if you then go to this link https://infinity.disney.com/console-download and attach a copy of your receipt, if you are one of the first 10,000 customers, you will receive the 2 disney original discs when they are released. All the information is noted via the link

Hope this helps!

We are also waiting to see the black Friday deals before purchasing DI 2.0. For DI we bought almost all the characters and most of the discs. This year, we are scaling back, but we're very excited for the Guardians play set.

Need help. We are getting the kids xbox 360 for Christmas, I already purchased the Disney infinity and the marvel infinity sets. What else do I need.

Thanks in advance.
