Yesterday on 4-21-2012 I read an article on Wikipedia about Disney parks. Toward the bottom under "American Projects", the article said that Disney announced in April 2012 they had plans to build a 7th resort theme park in western NC. All 100 counties in NC were considered, but it was narrowed down to three--Surry, Wilkes, or Watauga County. The total resort would be 6,862 square acres at a cost of $26 billion USD. The article quoted Disney's CEO as saying, "We here at Disney believe that another park in America will succeed its best in NC." The article said the location would be announced in May 2012.
Later yesterday, that info was removed from the Wikipedia article. Now under "American Projects" it says that Disney has no plans to build in the U.S. at this time.
Does anyone know what is going on? :confused3

I would say that you should always remember that ANYONE can post ANYTHING on WIKIPEDIA. You could go on that article and add "Disney CEO says 'we are closing the Orlando Parks because they just aren't bringing in the revenue we want.'" Then, within a day or so, someone will remove that because it's not true. Clearly that's what happened with what you read.
